9:05:30a Baptismal Song
(NFB: BILL - would you please play lightly
For Everyone Born" as Janet walks the child
down the aisle and back)

Sung as family is seated:

For everyone born, a place at the table,
for everyone born, clean water and bread,
a shelter, a space, a safe place for growing,
for everyone born, a star overhead,
and God will delight when we are
creators
of justice and joy, compassion and
peace:
yes, God will delight when we are
creators
of justice, justice and joy!

For young and for old, a place at the table,

a voice to be heard, a part in the song,
the hands of a child in hands that are
wrinkled,
for young and for old, the right to belong,
and God will delight when we are
creators
of justice and joy, compassion and
peace:
yes, God will delight when we are
creators
of justice, justice and joy!

THE WORD
9:10:30a Scripture Readings REBEKAH NANTZ (READER) and LYNNE
Psalm 8 GELZER (SIGNER); SARAH AND EDUARDO
O Love, My Beloved, LEAD "THY WORD TOGETHER"
How powerful is your name in all the earth!
You, whose glory is sung in heaven
by the angels and saints,
Who with the innocence and spontaneity of
the child,
Confound those who are mighty and proud,
You quiet the unloving and fearful.

When I look up at the heavens,

at the work of Love's creation,
at the infinite variety of your Plan;
What is woman that you rejoice in her,
And man that you do delight in him?
You have made us co-creators of the earth!
guardians of the planet!
to care for all your creatures,
to tend the land, the sea,
and the air we breathe;
all that You have made,
You have placed in our hands.

O Love, my Beloved,
How powerful is your Name in
all the earth!

"Thy Word"

9:28:30a Summer Choir Anthem NEVIN, CONDUCTOR
You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good-bye.

Teach your children well,

Their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they pick, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told

you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh
And know they love you.

And you, of tender years,

Can't know the fears that your elders grew
by,
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.

Teach your parents well,

Their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they pick, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told

you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they
love you.

GOING OUT INTO THE WORLD
9:35:30a At the Dawn of Your Creation SARAH AND EDUARDO, SONG LEADER
Please print (to the tune of Joyful, Joyful) (SARAH ANNOUNCES HYMN, INSERT)
At the dawn of your creation, God, you
spoke, "Let there be light!"
You divided earth from heaven, you created
day and night.
You made sunbeams dance with shadows,
you created energy!
Peaceful evenings, bright tomorrows, all
began with "Let there be..."

When you made us as your children, sending

us throughout your lands,
You commanded, "Have dominion — care
for earth; it's in your hands."
Yet we hurt this world you've given; we harm
earth and sky and sea.
We forget it's your creation — you, who once
said "Let there be..."

At this joyful celebration, may we hear your

word anew: *
May we care for your creation, knowing it's a
trust from you.
Just as daily there's a dawning, bringing light
to all we see,
So we daily hear your calling — you, who
once said, "Let there be..."
