THROW IN - TUTORIAL

Throw in is based on the very popular football game ‘Kick Off 2’ by Dino Dini that was released 1990. Just as
Kick Off, Throw In is rather difficult to learn but once you learn how to deal with it you will be rewarded with a
very fun gaming experience.

1. CONTROLS

You can play Throw in with keyboard, joystick or gamepad.

Default controls ‘Keyboard 1’:


Direction: Arrows
2nd button: Right Shift
1st Button: Right Ctrl

You can redefine keys in Controls section in the Options menu.

2. BASIC CONTROLS

Shooting – 1st button


Selectable power: You shoot as soon as you push the button. The longer you hold the button the higher power.
Fixed power: You shoot as soon as you push the 1st button. The power will always be maximum.

After touch – move controller to wanted direction.


You can curl the ball after shooting it by moving your control either left, right or in opposite shooting direction.
When you do the later the ball will gain height. The left and right move will move the ball in the given side
direction.

Trapping – Keep 1st button pressed and run over the ball.
When you want to trap the ball you hold down the button while you run over it. The player will automatically
stop and trap the ball when he has the same position as the ball.
You will keep the ball trapped until you release the button.

Passing (with trapping) – Move controller to wanted passdirection and release.


Meanwhile you are trapping the ball, Add a direction with your controller
while keeping the button pressed. Then release the button to pass.

Passing (with second button) - Press the second button

Sliding – 1st button


Just press the 1st button when the ball is on the ground.

Chip – Move controller in opposite running direction.


Move your controller in the opposite running direction (when you are in contact with the ball). If you are running
north then make a south movement and the player will make a chip. You can add sideway and height aftertouch
directly after.
Headers – 1st button
Just push the button to jump when the ball is in the air. The player will head automatically.
Hold down the button to increase the power.
Directional Headers: Change direction when you are about to hit the ball
Aftertouch Header: Just use the aftertouch

Diving Headers – 1st button


Press the button when the ball is in mediumheight slightly in front of you.

Overhead kicks
(UP – DOWN - 1st FIRE): If you want shoot towards south.
(DOWN - UP - 1st Button): If you want to shoot towards north.
Aftertouch on overhead kick: Just use the aftertouch.

Throw ins – 1st button


Chose a direction (Up - Down) and press 1st button.
For ‘Long Throw’ press 2nd button.

Free kicks – (with wall)


Before pressing the 1st button: Use Left&Right to chose the direction of the shot
How to set height?: The height is assigned by the time you hold the button.
As soon as you release the button, the freekick is taken
How to set swerve?: Just use the aftertouch when the player is running towards the ball.

Free kicks – (with wall – Defence)


Left&Right: moves the wall
Up&down+fire button: increase-decrease the wall

Free kick (no wall)


1st button for short pass
2nd button for long freekick.

Corners
How to set power?: Power is decided by the amount of time you hold the button.
How to set height?: Just push left or right before the shot is taken.
How to set the swerve?: Move the stick and set the aftertouch while the kicker is running to the ball.

Keeper Throw
Press 2nd button or hold your controller backwards and press 1st button.

F1 - Change gamespeed
F2 - Change zoom
F3 - Change camera rotation
F4 - Change camera perspective

F5 - Call Bench for tactical changes (Team A).


F9 - Call Bench for tactical changes (Team B).

F12 - Save Replay

R - Replay
P - Pause
Team A buttons:
1 - Tactic 3-5-2
2 - Tactic 4-3-3
3 - Tacitc 4-4-2
4 - Tactic 4-2-4
5 - Tactic 4-5-1
6 - Tactic 5-3-2

Team B buttons:
Numpad 1 - Tactic 3-5-2
Numpad 2 - Tactic 4-3-3
Numpad 3 - Tactic 4-4-2
Numpad 4 - Tactic 4-2-4
Numpad 5 - Tactic 4-5-1
Numpad 6 - Tactic 5-3-2

Esc - Quit match

Replayviewer Keys
Use the arrows to choose feature and space to get extra features.
R for next replay.

Highlights Keys
Use your controller directions and button(space) to get different features.
During highlights you can press Space to skip that specific highlight.
Use esc to end the highlights after the match.
