A. Definition of Computer
The computer is an electronic device that controlled by brainware (user). It
can be processed, save, and make data.

B. Four Basic Function of Computer

1. Input is an action to entering a command to the computer. I will

process through the software.

2. The process as the next action computer does after we added an input
action. This stage is related to the processor as a component of
processing data. The processor transforms information to output
(Hardcopy or softcopy) or being saved in the device storage

3. The output is a result of processing. This can be printed, sound,

picture, etc.

4. Storage is a stage to save data to ROM or external drive.

C. How's the computer works?

A simple word to explain what computers do is input, output, and process

the data. It takes raw information data in the end, stored the data until it ready
to use, makes up the data depending on the purpose, then made physical or
display the data. A computer needs software and hardware to do all that.
Integrated software and hardware is the key to process all data.

The computer has hardware named CPU. Central Processing Unit (CPU) is
hardware where is all processing data happen. The function of th1e CPU is:

a. Manage input and output hardware,

b. Receive the command,
c. Take data from primary memory,
d. Send data to ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit) if there is arithmetic
or logic command,
e. Saved data to primary memory.

D. How’s Internet Works?

The internet is a collection of standalone computer which connected one to
another. It is used to move the data and can handle many different kinds of
information as equally and passed in the same way. There are two-way people
can connect to the internet, first by the Internet service provider, and second
is by the online service provider.

E. Software and Hardware

Software is all program in the computer that used to make, change, and erase
the data. Whereas, the hardware is a physical device that used to give or
receive the data. For example, when I type this summary, I used a keyboard
as an input device to give a command to the monitor as an output. I going
through that by using a software Microsoft Word, which makes a form of data
that can be arranged well. Therefore, the integration of software and hardware
is necessary for using the computer properly. The computer cannot be used if

one hardware doesn’t there, and the computer can’t be used too if the
computer doesn't have an operating system as software.

F. Operating System
The operating system is an example of system software. It is software that
supports the computer does the four basic things. Operating system
communicated with hardware. All input and output data from hardware will
process in this software.

The kernel is the core of the operating system. It handles allocating memory,
converting software function to the instruction. Sometimes kernel and
operating system can be blurry

G. Essential Communication Platforms and Software to Use

In this era digital, software that can make human life more easier is
necessary. Many software can bring benefits in our life, we can be connected
to people around the world with our device. Communication is very important
to make a business relation nowadays. Here is a list of collaboration and
communication platforms and software that can be used to connect and
integrate your most essential business components.

1. Microsoft Office
This is used for helping people to make kind of task. The famous
software of Microsoft office is Microsoft word (document), Microsoft
excel (calculating), and Microsoft powerpoint (presentation)

2. Dropbox
This application saved or store your file to the internet. This file can be
shared with another user.

3. Skype for Bussiness

Skype can make a video call, chat, voice to communicating by people
located all over the world.

4. Youtube
A place to uploaded your videos and can be used for marketing and
promoting in the marketplace. Youtube also can be placed to make
money as called YouTuber.

5. Hipchat
Hipchat use was for business persistent. searchable, and loaded with
goodies: group chat, video chat, screen sharing, and the security your
IT team craves.
Still, so many software that can simplify human life to communication and
collaboration platform. Which is best you need is depending on your pleasure. Every
software has a respective advantage.
