Programmable
Focusing Optic
welding, continuous seam welding, and cutting are possible without moving the work piece or the focusing optic.
The PFO is available for use on TRUMPF CW and pulsed solid-state lasers. It accepts TRUMPF fibers, has an
integrated collimator and is programmed through the standard TruControl 1000 laser interface controller.
Available options include smoke ring protection, high velocity cross-jet and camera. It can be mounted in a fixed
position, on a motion system or robot.
To achieve maximum performance on large pieces, a robot mounted PFO can be controlled to process “on the fly“
through real time synchronization of the scanner axes and robot axes. The PFO 3D incorporates a z-axis which
allows 3D processing without moving the part or PFO.
