Good morning and what’s up guys,? Hopefull yes growing better right!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Melinda Dwi Mareta. In this presentation, we will discuss about
antenna. So, we realize that not everyone knows and have been wondering about what is and how is
antenna work as telecommunication equipment. Make us curious right? How the antenna can work until
we can watch TV, listen the radio, etc. That’s why i here today to tell you what it is and all you might
want to know about antenna.

So first, we will begin with what is antenna and how it works. Then, we will tell you types of
antenna. I decide to have a QnA session at the end of this presentation. However, the limited
time we have resulted in limited person allowed to raise a hand to ask us a question.

Lets begin by what is antenna as telecommunication equipment? Antenna is an essential part of

telecommunication equipment, bridging the gap between electronic and electromagnetic signals.
And how it works? Okay, An antenna is interface between radio waves propagating through the
space and electric current moving in metal conductors and use a transmitter or receiver for the
transmission, for your information metal conductors is the best material that important to this
process.

That’s it the explanation about what is the antenna, then I will told you what types of antenna?
There are 2 types antenna, dipole and monopole. Just like the name the dipole antenna is consist
with two conductors and monopole antenna is consist of single conductor.

The dipole antenna is prototypical antenna on which a large class of antennas are based. The
conductors usually metal rods or wires. It arranged symmetrically, with one side of balanced
feedline from the transmitter or receiver attached to each. You may unconscious that thistype of
antenna is around you, for example television antenna in your rooftop,turnstile, etc.

Second type is monopole. It also use metal rods for the conductor. It is usually mounted over the
ground or an artificial conducting surface. you can find this type of antenna on mobile and
portable radio,rubber ducky, ground plane, etc.

So the points are, antenna is telecommunication equipment that utilize signals and transmission to work.
It also have two types, dipole antenna and monopole antenna. Okay, from everything i’ve told you about
Antenna and still have your question unanswered, feel free to ask by raise your hand and mention your

In conclusion, Antenna is one of important telecommunication equipment that so useful and help us
connect and reach far area even throughout the world.
