Metric Product Modules Help Text


Dashboard The Parts Stocking and Loyalty Main Dashboard contains
Overall Info information on key metrics pertaining to both Parts Inventory
and Loyalty. The dashboard may be filtered by Year Month,
Time Period, and Geography.
Parts Breadth PSL Stocking Parts Breadth % (PB%) is the proportion of the count of a
% dealer’s Suggested Stocking Assortment (SSA) parts which have
inventory quantity on hand (QOH) greater than zero to the total
count of a dealer’s SSA parts.

Interpreting the Metric


 SSA is a monthly generated list of parts recommended
for the dealer to stock based on historical supply and
demand analysis.
 Parts Breadth % is compared to an industry standard of
80% which serves as a performance objective.
 The percentage below the dial indicates the percentage
of the performance objective met.
 Dial is blue for > 100% achievement
 Dial is yellow for 95% to 100% achievement
 Dial is red for < 95% achievement

OTS Fill Rate PSL Stocking Off the Shelf (OTS) Fill Rate measures the proportion of repair
orders that are filled with parts stock on hand without special
or same day ordering.

Interpreting the Metric


 Off the Shelf Fill Rate is measured against an industry
standard of 80% which serves as a performance
objective.
 The percentage below the dial indicates the percentage
of the performance objective met.

CP RO GPU % PSL Loyalty Customer Pay Repair Order Genuine Parts Usage % (Cost $)
(Cost $) (CP RO GPU) measures GPU %, calculated as the percent of
parts sold on CP ROs that are genuine Toyota parts.

 CP RO GPU % (Cost $) is compared to CP RO GPU %
(Cost $) for the same time period in the prior year.

Overall Info health. The dashboard may be filtered by YearMonth, Time
Period, and Geography.
Parts Breadth PSL Stocking Parts Breadth % (PB%) is the proportion of the count of a
% dealer’s Suggested Stocking Assortment (SSA) parts which
have inventory quantity on hand (QOH) greater than zero to
the total count of a dealer’s SSA parts.

Interpreting the Metric

Report Product Modules Help Text


Inventory PSL Stocking This report shows parts inventory data by month. Select the
Monthly Trends desired metric and benchmark to display data against using
the filter section. This report can be changed to show average
or total data using the toggle placed on the upper left of the
graph. Clicking the Year-Month in the table section will
redirect user to the PSL Inventory YoY report. Key metrics for
this report are as follows:

 Total Inventory $: Total value of all on-hand parts


inventory based on dealer net.
 SSA Inventory $: The total dollar value of all on hand
parts inventory that is included in a dealer’s
Suggested Stocking Assortment (SSA) based on dealer
net.
 SSA Inventory %: The total percentage of all on hand
parts inventory that is included in a dealer’s SSA
based on dealer net.
 Non SSA Inventory $: The total dollar value of all on
hand parts inventory that is not included in a dealer’s
SSA based on dealer net.
 Non SSA Inventory %: The total percent of all on
hand parts inventory not in dealer’s SSA based on
dealer net.
 Total Part Count On Hand: The count of all distinct
parts on hand.
 Total Pieces On Hand: The count of all pieces on
hand.
Inventory YoY PSL Stocking This report shows a YoY summary of parts inventory data for
Summary a given month. Select the desired Year-Month and metric
using the filter section. This report can be changed to show
average or total data using the toggle placed on the upper
left of the graph. Key metrics for this report are as follows:

 Total Part Count On Hand: The count of all distinct
parts on hand.
 Total Pieces On Hand: The count of all pieces on
hand.
SSA PSL Stocking This report displays every part included on a given dealer’s
Suggested Stocking Assortment (SSA) and inventory
information for each part. The report is equipped with flags
allowing the user to filter by whether or not the part is being
counted toward their Parts Breadth % (PB%) and if the part is
new to their SSA this period. A list of all parts which have
been removed since that last SSA can also be found using the
filter section.
The SSA is a monthly generated list of OEM parts suggested
for the dealer to stock. SSA will be generated on the first
business day of the month. In order for a part to be included
on a dealer’s SSA it must have one invoice hit within the past
9 months, and two hits within the past 3 months. In addition,
if a part has been sold in a dealer’s district but not by the
dealer, this part will be added to the dealer’s SSA to
preemptively handle demand for that part in the area. Some
parts are excluded from a dealer’s SSA, including accessories,
chemicals, tires, dropship parts, core parts, batteries,
standardized parts, parts from some vendors, miscellaneous
parts, unclassified parts, and superseded parts with
interchange code of 2, 3, or 5.
Parts Breadth PSL Stocking Parts Breadth (PB%) is the proportion of the count of the
Daily Report dealer’s Suggested Stocking Assortment (SSA) parts which
have parts inventory quantity on hand (QOH) greater than
zero to the count of the dealer's total SSA parts. This report
displays a daily, MTD, QTD, and YTD Parts Breadth percent
for a given dealer, as well as the count of SSA parts a dealer
has in stock. Parts Breadth at the MTD, QTD, and YTD levels is
calculated as the average of daily Parts Breadth for that time
period.
Availability PSL Stocking This report shows stocking availability data by month. Select
Monthly Trends the desired metric and benchmark to display data against
using the filter section. Clicking the Year-Month in the table
section will redirect to the PSL Inventory YoY report. Key
metrics for this report are as follows:

Availability PSL Stocking This report allows the user to see monthly trends for a given
Multi Monthly availability metric and is equipped with a drilldown of the
Trends geographical hierarchy. This drill down allows for comparison
of all districts in an area, or all dealers in a district. Key
metrics for this report are as follows:

 Parts Breadth: Parts Breadth percent (PB%) is the


proportion of the count of a dealer’s Suggested
Stocking Assortment (SSA) parts which have
inventory quantity on hand greater than zero to the
count of a dealer’s total SSA parts.
 Off the Shelf (OTS) Fill Rate: OTS Fill rate measures
the proportion of repair orders (ROs) that are filled
with stock on hand without special or same day
ordering.
Dealer PSL Stocking This report provides part level inventory details for each
Inventory dealer. Select the desired Year-Month and Product Hierarchy
Details to apply using the filter section. In this report the metric
‘Inventory Value’ represents the total inventory value of all
pieces on hand for a given part and is calculated as the
product of quantity on hand (QOH) and dealer net.
Inventory Aging PSL Stocking This report provides insight into the age segmentation of
inventory. Select desired Year-Month, Geography, and
Product Hierarchy to apply using the filter section. Also found
in the filter section is a metrics dropdown, which will allow
the user to switch between viewing the inventory aging
breakdown in dollars or as a percentage of total parts
inventory.
Inventory PSL Stocking This report provides insight into how well a dealer utilizes
Performance their inventory and can be broken down into different
(Utilization) segments. Select desired Year-Month, Geography, and
Product Hierarchy to apply using the filter section. Key
metrics for this report are as follows:

 Days of Supply: The number of days’ demand the


current inventory on hand will meet based on current
demand.
 Inventory Turns: The number of times the current
total inventory dollars would be consumed over a 12-
month period.
Stocking Multi PSL Stocking This report allows the user to compare multiple parts
Metric Monthly inventory stocking metrics in one chart for ease of reference.
Trends Select the desired Year-Month and metrics using the filter
section. Key metrics for this report are as follows:
 Parts Breadth: Parts Breadth percent (PB%) is the
proportion of the count of a dealer’s Suggested
Stocking Assortment (SSA) parts which have
inventory quantity on hand greater than zero to the

Sales Loyalty PSL Loyalty This report shows sales loyalty data by month. Select the
Monthly desired metric and benchmark to display data against using
Trends the filter section. Clicking the Year-Month in the table section
will redirect user to the Inventory YoY report. Key metrics for
this report are as follows:

 Genuine Parts Usage (GPU) %: GPU % measures the


proportion of parts sold on repair orders (ROs) that
are genuine Toyota parts.
 Purchase Efficiency %: Purchase Efficiency % is the
proportion of parts purchases on ROs to parts sales
on ROs.
 Genuine Parts Usage Efficiency %: GPU Efficiency % is
the product of Genuine Parts Usage % and Purchase
Efficiency %.
Sales Loyalty PSL Loyalty This report shows a YoY summary of sales loyalty data for a
YoY Summary given month. Select the desired Year-Month and metric using
the filter section. This report can be changed to show average
or total data using the toggle placed on the upper left of the
graph. Key metrics for this report are as follows:

 Genuine Parts Usage (GPU) %: GPU % measures the


proportion of parts sold on repair orders (ROs) that
are genuine Toyota parts.
 Purchase Efficiency %: Purchase Efficiency % is the
proportion of parts purchases on ROs to parts sales
on ROs.
 Genuine Parts Usage Efficiency %: GPU Efficiency % is
the product of Genuine Parts Usage % and Purchase
Efficiency %.
Sales Loyalty PSL Loyalty This report allows the user to see monthly trends for a given
Multi Monthly sales loyalty metric and is equipped with a drilldown of the
Trends geographical hierarchy. This drill down allows for comparison
of all districts in an area, or all dealers in a district. Key metrics
for this report are as follows:

 Genuine Parts Usage (GPU) %: GPU % measures the


proportion of parts sold on repair orders (ROs) that
are genuine Toyota parts.
 Purchase Efficiency %: Purchase Efficiency % is the
proportion of parts purchases on ROs to parts sales
on ROs.
 Genuine Parts Usage Efficiency %: GPU Efficiency % is
the product of Genuine Parts Usage % and Purchase
Efficiency %.
Sales Loyalty PSL Loyalty This report allows the user to see detailed monthly trends for
Monthly a given sales loyalty metric. Select a desired Year-Month and
Trends Detail Geography using the filter section. The filter section will also
allow the user to choose which metric and pay type they
would like to see the report display. Key metrics for this
report are as follows:

 Genuine Parts Usage (GPU) %: GPU % measures the


proportion of parts sold on repair orders (ROs) that
are genuine Toyota parts.
 Purchase Efficiency %: Purchase Efficiency % is the
proportion of parts purchases on ROs to parts sales at
cost on ROs.
 Genuine Parts Usage Efficiency %: GPU Efficiency % is
the product of Genuine Parts Usage % and Purchase
Efficiency %.
Aftermarket PSL Loyalty This report allows the user to view non-genuine parts usage
Parts Detail for a given dealer. Select the desired Year-Month from the
filter section and data will be displayed at a part level. For
each non-genuine part used on a repair order (RO), user can
see the associated RO number as well as metrics such as
model, model year, and quantity sold.
Purchase PSL Loyalty This report allows the user to view both three and twelve
Loyalty by month purchase loyalty broken down by product hierarchy.
Product Drill down functionality is included so all major tact segments
within a product group may be compared, or minor tact
segments within a major tact segment. Key metrics for this
report are as follows:

 3 MTH Purchase Loyalty %: The proportion of parts


purchases (plus inventory on hand) to parts sales for
genuine Toyota parts over a three month rolling
interval.
 3 MTH Opportunity $: The difference between net
sales dollars out and net purchase dollars on genuine
Toyota parts over a three month rolling interval.
 12 MTH Purchase Loyalty %: The proportion of parts
purchases (plus inventory on hand) to parts sales for
genuine Toyota parts over a twelve month rolling
interval.
 12 MTH Opportunity $: The difference between net
sales dollars out and net purchase dollars on genuine
parts over a twelve month rolling interval.
Purchase PSL Loyalty This report allows the user to view both three and twelve
Loyalty by month purchase loyalty displayed by geographical hierarchy.
Region This report includes drill down functionality to compare all
districts within an area, or all dealers within a district. Key
metrics for this report are as follows:

 3 MTH Purchase Loyalty %: The proportion of parts


purchases (plus inventory on hand) to parts sales for
genuine Toyota parts over a three month rolling
interval.
 3 MTH Opportunity $: The difference between net

sales dollars out and net purchase dollars on genuine
Toyota parts over a twelve month rolling interval.
Purchase PSL Loyalty This report allows users to view a part level breakdown of
Loyalty Part their purchase loyalty. Select the desired Year-Month to view
Detail both three and twelve month purchase loyalty for each part
purchased. Key metrics for this report are as follows:

 3 MTH Purchase Loyalty %: The proportion of parts


purchases (plus inventory on hand) to parts sales for
genuine Toyota parts over a three month rolling
interval.
 3 MTH Opportunity $: The difference between net
sales dollars out and net purchase dollars on genuine
Toyota parts over a three month rolling interval.
 12 MTH Purchase Loyalty %: The proportion of parts
purchases (plus inventory on hand) to parts sales for
genuine Toyota parts over a twelve month rolling
interval.
 12 MTH Opportunity $: The difference between net
sales dollars out and net purchase dollars on genuine
Toyota parts over a twelve month rolling interval.
Loyalty Multi PSL Loyalty This report allows the user to compare multiple loyalty
Metric Monthly metrics in one chart for ease of reference. Select the desired
Trends Year-Month and multi-select metrics using the filter section.
Key metrics for this report are as follows:

 Genuine Parts Usage (GPU) %: GPU % measures the


proportion of parts sold on repair orders (ROs) that
are genuine Toyota parts.
 3 MTH Purchase Loyalty %: The proportion of parts
purchases (plus inventory on hand) to parts sales for
genuine Toyota parts over a three month rolling
interval.
 12 MTH Purchase Loyalty %: The proportion of parts
purchases (plus inventory on hand) to parts sales for
genuine Toyota parts over a twelve month rolling
interval.
Sales Loyalty PSL Loyalty This report allows the user to view sales loyalty usage details
Parts Usage by part for one dealer. Use the filter section to search for a
Detail specific part number, or choose to filter by whether or not a
part is a genuine Toyota part. Key metrics for this report are
as follows:

 Purchase Efficiency %: Purchase Efficiency % is the


proportion of parts purchases on repair orders (ROs)
to parts sales at dealer cost on ROs.
