presenting the new lesson Have a short recall of the previous lesson

Setup the ramp and ruler shown below. Place 6 marbles on the ruler.

Before releasing the /marble on the ramp, ask the students to predict what will happen to the marbles at the bottom of
the ramp after the marble on the ramp will collide the marbles at the bottom?
B. Establishing a purpose for (Engage)
the lesson Let the student state the law of conservation of momentum
The teacher present and discuss the figure in class

What is elastic collision?

The teacher presents the equation for elastic collision.

skills in daily living
H. Making generalizations and (Elaborate)
abstractions about the lesson Tell the students that a video lesson on elastic collisions will be shown. Instruct them to watch carefully so they will know
the correct explanation of their observations on the demonstration shown earlier.

I. Evaluating learning (Evaluate)

From the concepts that have learned, let the students answer the following questions:

1. Which of the following states the law of conservation of momentum?

a. p before is less than p after
b. p before is the same as p after
c. before is more than p after
2. Which of the following is NOT true for an elastic collision?
a. momentum is conserved

c. The objects bounce away from each other
d. The objects stick together
3. An object of mass 100 kg moving with a velocity of 30 m/s collides with another object of mass 120 kg, moving
towards the first with a velocity of 25 m/s. If the first object moves with a velocity of 15 m/s after the collision, what will be
the velocity of the second object after the collision?
4. Give an example of elastic collision that involves applications in real life situations
J. Additional activities for (Extend)
application or remediation 1. What is inelastic collision?
2. Cite examples of inelastic collision

V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned 80% on the formative assessment
B. No. of learners who acquire additional activities

2C. Did the remedial lessons work? No. of learners who have caught
up with the lesson.
D. No. of learners who continue to require remediation
E. Which of my teaching strategies worked well? Why did these
work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter which my principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized materials did I use/discover which I
wish to share with other teachers?
