BARANGAY BAGONG LIPUNAN NG CRAME

barangay officials at the time of creation).

Barangay Bagong Lipunan ng Crame

It was created as a simple sitio in 1962, headed by Mrs. Flor Cristobal who was then
appointed as Tenyente del Barrio by Councilor Fred Montilla. The population was
approximately only about 3,000. Ex Igancio Santos Dias was then the Punong Lungsod.

In 1972, the Barangay Bagong Lipunan ng Crame was created thru a Presidential Decree
of the late President Ferdinand Marcos. Its name was derived from the Kilusang
Bagong Lipunan ng Crame of first Lady Imelda Marcos. This barangay was then
headed by Mr. Benjamin Galang as an appointed Barangay Captain. Under him were
Barangay councilors Fred Palomar, Flor Cristobal, and Jose Luna. They stayed in their
position until 1982 election was held and Jose Abad won, his council was composed of
six councilors namely: Joan Domagsang, Sol Paran, Willy Andrade, Socorro Duran,
Alberto Feliciano, and Ruben Sayco. Their term lasted up to 1989.

In 1989, Alberto Feliciano was elected as a Barangay Captain and his councilmen were
composed six councilors, namely: Ruben Sayco, Enrique Fabella, Pablo Umali, Johnny
Delgado, Audey Saturno, and Benjamin Galang. Fortunately Mr. Alberto Feliciano
was appointed by the City Mayor as succeeded the stewardship of the barangay, being
the first Kagawad. This was the first term of Mr. Ruben Sayco as Barangay Captain.

In 1994, Mr. Ruben Sayco was reelected as Barangay Captain and the councilmen under
him were Cecilia Feliciano, Ramon Abedes, Rosalinda Villanueva, Rogel Gumangan,
Ernesto Rodriguez, Emmanuel Gozun, and Arnold Ragaza.

In 1997, Mr. Ruben Sayco was reelected as Barangay Captain and the councilmen under
him were Emmanuel Gozum, Rosalinda Villanueva, Arnold Ragaza, Ernesto C.
Rodriguez, Carmen Ida Bancil, Ermi Donato Mapalad, and Oscar U. Joves,
unfortunately Mr. Ruben Sayco was convicted by the Hon. Court of Manila City and
Mr. Emmanuel V. Gozun succeeded the stewardship of the barangay being the first
Kagawad, and Mr. Ermi Donato Mapalad fortunately was sent by his employee to
abroad, and Teresa G. Jardio and Flor Cristobal was assigned to replace the vacant slot
of 2 Kagawad. In 2002, Mrs. Teresa G. Jardio was elected as Barangay Captain and the
councilmen under her were Rolando N. Pascasio, Juvy Domagsang, Joeffry S. Llorico,
Manuel V. Gozun, and Ariel Ferdinand G. Morales.

In 2007, Mrs. Teresa G. Jardio was reelected as Barangay Captain and her councilman
was composed of seven councilors namely Rostum F. Pascasio, Joeffry S. Llorico,
Rosalinda L. Villanueva, Carmen Ida Dr. Bancil, Eleucita T. Feliciano, Federico T.
Baldovino, Jr., and Miguel T. Melgar.
