Paper Marigolds

Bazzill Basics Flower Pot Collection


Supplies: Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
scissors, hole punch, decorative edge scissors, em-
bossing stylus, 10 mm brad or decorative center

1. Using a five petaled flow-


er, select two large and two
medium flowers.

2. Use a standard hole punch


to make a hole in the center
of each flower.

3. Trim the edges of each
petal with pinking shears or
decorative edge scissors.

4.Repeat for all four flow-


ers.

5. Use an embossing stylus
to create a fold line in the
center of each petal.

6. Fold the large flowers


on the fold line so that the
fold line is pointing upward.
Fold the medium flowers so

that the fold line is point-
ing downward. 6
7. Make a small cut in be-
tween each petal on all four
flowers. Be careful to not
cut all the way through to
the center hole.

8. Take one large flower and


hold it so that the fold
lines are facing upward.

7 Place adhesive around the


center hole. 8
9. Place the second large
flower onto the first with
the fold line on the petals
facing upward. Stagger the
petals on each layer so that
they don’t overlap. Press
the flowers together at the
center to set the adhesive.

10. Place adhesive around the


9 center hole of the assembled
flower. 10
11. Place one medium flow-
er on top of the assembled
flower with the fold lines on
the petals facing downward.
Press the flowers together at
the center to set the adhe-
sive.

12. Cut away one petal on the


11 remaining medium flower.

13. Place adhesive on the top
of the petal to the left of
the cut.

14. Bring the petal to the


right of the cut to the left
and place it on top of the
petal with the adhesive.
Press together to create one

15. Place adhesive around the
center hole of the assembled
flower.

16. Place the three petal


flower on top of the assem-
bled flower pressing it into
the adhesive.

17. If you plan to add a stem
to your flower, prepare one
now. (See the stem tutorial
for instructions.)

18. Place a small amount of


adhesive in the center of the
flower. Insert the wire stem
so that the loop lays in the
17 center of the flower.

19. Cover the wire stem cen-
ter with a brad or decorative
adhesive center. (The example
uses a Bazzill Bling Stone in
African Daisy.)

20. If using a stem, finish


the flower by adding a stem
