Inc., headed by its new president and chairperson Taguig-Pateros Rep. Lani Cay- etano, will launch "Pinto sa Kongreso: An Art Appreciation Exhibit," a fund-raising art exhibit today, 1 p.m., at the South Wing Lobby of the House of Representatives in . Quezon City. The art exhibit in partnership with the Pinto Art Gallery will run until Oct. 3. Guests of honor include House Speaker Alan Peter S. Cayetano, Rep. Cayetano's husband, and Dr. Joven Cuanang from the Pinto Art. This is the first project of the CSFI in the 18th Congress. "The art exhibit envisions an exhibition that generously present contemporary art practice, putting a spotlight on the remark- able Filipino talent, creativity, and imagi- nation. Proceeds from the exhibit will be for th'e benefit of the livelhoot 'programs and projects of the CSFI," Rep. Cayetano said. The exhibit will feature over 75 promi- ,nent artists in Philippine visual arts. Their works that portray various themes, from abstract expressions to figurative depic- tions of every day life to fdntastical rep- resentations of surreal imagery, enrich the Filipino culture that captures the noble spirit of the nation. pqg er I
