1. Background of the Study

As discussed earlier, this part should briefly place the study in a broad context and highlight why it
is important. This section should define the purpose of the work and its significance. In short, this is the
part where you introduce, and discuss the research problem that you have formulated.

1.1. Statement of the Problem

This is basically the statement of your research question. The problem/question must be so clearly
stated in such a way that almost anyone can understand it. If the problem is not stated with such clarity,
then you are deceiving yourself that you know what the problem is.
The following are the guide questions when writing your problem statement or research question:
Is the problem stated in a complete, grammatical sentence?
Is it clear how the area of study will be limited or focused?
Is it clear that you have an open mind about results that the research effort might yield?
Does the answer to this problem/question have the potential for providing important and useful
answers and information?
Will the result be more than a simple exercise in gathering information, answering a yes/no question,
or making a comparison?
Is the problem focused enough to be accomplished with a reasonable expenditure of time, money,
and effort?

varying its throttle conditions).”
Specifically, the objectives of this study are:
1. What are the things that you propose to be done in order to answer the research question
