I got the know about this book last night when i watching the Newshour Debate with
Arnab Goswami on Times Now when one on the Pakistani panelist told the Indian
Panelists to read the book Who Killed Karkare?

Instantly i started googling about the facts of the book.

The Book is written by former Inspector general of police SM Mushrif, demanding re-
investigation into the 26/11 incident. The claims made in the book are so shocking
that it made me feel unsecure about my own Country.

The Book claims that ATS chief Hemant Karkare was killed in a conspiracy hatched by
Intelligence Bureau (IB) to pave way for the appointment of their favoured KP
Raghuvanshi as ATS chief to thwart investigations against the Hindu hardliners
allegedly involved in Malegaon blast of 2006 killing 37 persons and injuring
hundreds. ATS chief Hemant Karkare was investigating the Malegaon blast and
according to the book it is believed that he had some shocking revelations to be
made.

The Book also claims that Mr. Hemant Karkare was not killed by the terrorist in the
2008 Mumbai Attacks and was killed by someone else by way of some conspiracy taking
advantage of the terrorist attack so that his investigation of Malegaon blast can
be stopped and Mr. KP Raghuvanshi could be appointed in his place. The Book alleges
that Raghuvanshi was brought in to shield the 'big names' that were surfacing in
connection with Hindu terrorism.

The Pradhan Committee was appointed to investigate the matter, but Mr. Mushrif
claims that the Pradhan committee could not do any justice to the job it was
assigned. and believes that neither RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) nor IB co-
operated with it.

Mr. Hemant Karkare was the �Singham� of our Police System and i have great respect
for him. He is also awarded with a �Ashoka Chakra�

I have spoken to one of the NSG unit commanders from the military who was engaged
in the anti terrorist operations on 26/11. He gave pretty detailed analysis on both
Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's death as well as Hemant Karkare's.

He knew the risks he was taking right through their planned operation and was very
successful, and kept fighting till he died.

Karkare on the other hand did not follow any SOP (Standard Operating Procedure),
and went in unprepared. Certainly we do not expect the police forces to match those
of the military, but operationally, it was no surprise that he got shot.

While we should accord the highest respect to those who laid their lives down for
us, we should make sure we do not fall for mere conspiracy theories. Karkare had
the option of following SOP. Nobody took away that option from him.

For all the conspiracy theorists including those infering anything from any book,
here is a simple question - "Would Pakistani terrorists launch such an elaborate
attack, just to provide a window of opportunity to someone else to kill a specific
police officer?"

There is a point at which conspiracies stop being credible, and that point is where
a request for re-examination is not even considered worthy of consideration.

In this time era of BJP he will propogate this book to sell it in large nos which
will ensure roality back to him.

The earning will be huge. Many ppl write books on Conspiracy Stories but fear to go
to court and prove it legally as they don't have proof and all cited in the Book
are based on Assumptions!

Like again : 26/11 A Conspiracy by RSS , Digvijay Singh , Mahesh Butt and some
other Mullas.

In opposite , Mani wrote a Book �Hindu Terror� in which he Mentioned Hemant Karkare
and Digvijay Singh Meddling into Investigations to proof the idea of Hindu
Terrorism just to gain some Muslim Votes b4 election. This book was written long b4
Hemant Karkare's death.
