Blue Badge Holders & Parking
The scheme is intended to assist disabled persons who have a permanent and subst
antial disability, which causes inability to walk or very considerable difficult
y in walking, by making additional provisions for the parking of vehicles used b
y holders of a Blue Badge.
You must display your Blue Badge on top of the dashboard or facia panel of the v
ehicle with the front of the badge (the side showing the wheel chair symbol) fac
ing forward so that the relevant details are clearly visible from the outside wh
en using parking benefits. Warning – Failure to display the badge correctly will r
esult in a parking penalty. When requested by a Parking Official, badge holders
are required to show their photograph on the back of the badge to allow confirma
tion of identity.
Can UK and Other EU Issued Badges be used in Jersey?
This badge allows disabled drivers to park in designated areas, such as on-stree
t parking zones and in multi-storey car parks. This badge does not permit disabl
ed drivers to park on yellow lines. UK and European blue badges are valid for us
e in Jersey.)
