in terms of understanding
what Shali endured,” said

“He struggled to live in
some of the most inhumane
conditions that we have seen
as civil rights attorneys.”
Tilson, who was
22-years-old at the time,
was arrested March 3, 2018
for misdemeanor disorderly
conduct. He was held at
Rockdale County Jail for
nine days, until his March
12, 2018 death. He died
of dehydration in solitary
confinement while placed
