Vocal Students ~ In addition to bringing your Master Theory Book #1,

please bring a CD with your “TOP TEN” vocal song selections (preferably
slower tempo ballads / worship songs w/ age appropriate lyrics) that you
would be most passionate about using & potentially spending time on for
voice lessons. A 1/2” hard-back 3-ring binder & music bag of your choice
is great for your organizing / bringing your music to & from lessons.

Piano Students~ If you have previously taken piano lessons, I will very
much appreciate the opportunity to hear a couple of piano selections in
your highest level playing ability piano books you have studied / used in
the past. This will better help me to determine your present piano level, as
well as our starting place for piano 

All Incoming Piano Students will need Master Theory Book #1. Please
pick up & bring both of the music books I’ve ordered for you from Bader
Music Store, (McMahan Plaza, Breckinridge Lane) to your first lesson. A
1/2” hard-back 3-ring binder & music bag of your choice is great for your
organizing / bringing your music to & from lessons.

 IMPORTANT MUSIC STUDIO POLICY
REMINDERS FOR ALL STUDENTS

My Heart's intent is to provide equal ("Heart") service to everyone so that

everyone is receiving the same quality / honest service ! ) As I am also
accountable to following my own policy, I respectfully request that no one
ask for special favors outside of this music studio policy as in goo
conscience, I will not be able to honor requests that are not in agreement
or that do not support handbook policies.

The music schedule is quite FULL at 29 students (& bulging ☺). So, please
make every effort to take advantage of each pre-paid lesson as I am not
able to offer any makeup lessons / credits in the event of any student
cancellation / missed lessons or vacation absences, etc. regardless of
notification received / reason.

MONTHLY TUITION POLICY / ATTENDANCE, ETC.

All Monthly Tuition payments are pre-paid in full! They are due
before or no later than the 6 th day of each month) Upon receipt
of the student's full monthly tuition , the student's full time space /
time slot will be scheduled / reserved in their name for that month
regardless of their monthly attendance! The pre-paid monthly tuition is
for the purpose of reserving the student's full-time space in the music
studio in their presence or absence. A full time space in the music
studio cannot be reserved without receipt of your full monthly tuition
to hold the full time space in your child’s name.
The goal is that each student would take advantage of each pre-paid
lesson; however, fully utilizing your full-time space / each pre-paid
lesson is ultimately up to the student / parent. It is my hope that you
will enjoy each weekly space you've paid for with consistent full time
attendance as it will promote student progress & help to maintain the
flow of the music schedule.

Student cancellations / absences are considered a forfeiture of your

lesson space for that lesson week. Therefore, in the event of student
absence, your pre-paid tuition for the week(s) of said absence will
be used to recompense the teacher for the full-time space
being reserved in the music schedule for the week of your child’s
absence.) In this case, I will just look forward to seeing you the
following week! Please simply notify me via text or email me at
momomom@twc.com a.s.a.p. so that I don't worry ! Thanks so
much!

 Since paying a month in advance reserves / locks in your time slot /

day in the lesson schedule for that month, a month’s instruction
will not begin until your full monthly tuition is received in full on
or before the 6 th day of each month. Therefore, timely
monthly payments are of special importance!!!

 Since I only have 2 days available for teaching all 29+ music
students plus also taking care of our 4 kids / hubby / home-life /
ministry, etc., time organization, as well as smooth, timely flow
in the music schedule is of special importance & vital to
maintaining a reliable, quality music schedule that everyone can
consistently depend upon, including myself!
 Therefore, in light of maintaining the smooth, timely flow in the
music teaching schedule & so that I may plan ahead accordingly in
the music schedule, I respectfully request that all students and
parents faithfully abide by all aspects of the music studio
policy as it really helps the music schedule to continue to run
smoothly, efficiently and on schedule which I highly depend on in
my back to back lesson schedule !!

 While I am unable to offer makeup lessons for absences, as a very

simple, yet important “courtesy” to me, an email or hand
“WRITTEN NOTICE” is requested "1" calendar month in
advance of all “Planned Vacation / Planned Absences.”

 I get every excited for each student’s arrival ( as well as,

pre-planning each child's music lessons in advance, etc.) In the
event of any absence, please send me an email or text & voicemail
to me as soon as possible so that I do not worry or continue
looking out the front window ☺ awaiting your arrival the day of your
absence.

 PLEASE NOTE : The Music lesson schedule is teacher directed.

Switching days / time slots with others is not permissible. Your
regularly scheduled lesson day / time is your full time space
reserved in your name ;) If for any reason you are not able to use
your lesson space reserved in your name for a given week, please
simply let me know in advance and I'll look forward to seeing ya the
next week! Thanks for understanding & your helpful cooperation!!
 Although some unforeseen circumstances may prevent you from giving
me the “courtesy” of a minimum 24-hour notification of all other
ABSENCES , ADVANCE NOTIFICATION of any ABSENCE is very
much appreciated & REQUIRED!

CONTAGIOUS ILLNESS

 VERY IMPORTANT: Please help keep all of my other

students / families & our family SAFE & HEALTHY by
CANCELING YOUR LESSON a.s.a.p. if your child is SICK or
presenting ANY symptoms of illness and / or FEVER, or your
child has been exposed to anyone in your home / public that has
the flu or contagious virus, including pink eye or lice, etc. or
has been given a diagnosis of ANY CONTAGIOUS ILLNESS !!

 As a safety measure, a student must be a full 24 hrs.

completely FEVER, VOMITING, INFECTION, RASH &
SYMPTOM FREE without use of fever / symptom reducing
medicine and out of the CONTAGIOUS zone BEFORE returning
to lessons !!!! In the case of lice, your child / home must be 1-
week free of lice or remnants / signs of lice.

When in doubt, please always CHOOSE SAFETY!

 PERMANENTLY CEASING LESSONS

To make your “LAST LESSON DATE” official in the record books / music
schedule when permanently ceasing lessons, there are “2” things required
that must be received at the first lesson of the month to officially set
your LAST LESSON DATE in the music schedule.

1. Required ** “1” month WRITTEN CANCELLATION NOTICE :

Your LAST LESSON DATE will officially be 30 days from the
date of receipt ** (EXCEPTION: for those who are
permanently ceasing 2 or more time slots, you will be required
to give a “2” month written notice which will mark your Last
Lesson Date 60 days from the date of receipt)

2. FINAL TUITION CHECK(s): 1 or 2 final monthly tuition checks

representing full payment for ALL weekly lessons throughout your
final 1 or 2 month(s) of instruction starting on the date written
notification is received & leading up to your LAST LESSON DATE

I highly depend on maintaining full occupancy of all full-time spaces

available on my 3 teaching days; therefore, the required 1 or 2 month’s
advance written notice of ceasing lessons, as well as the 1 or 2 pre-paid
final month's tuition check(s) are both VERY ESSENTIAL. This is so that
once written notification is received, I may have enough time during the
lesson weeks leading up to your last lesson date to try to fill the vacancy /
vacancies of your full time space(s) you are ceasing.

Please Note: You may use all final lessons that you've pre-paid for;
however, if you choose to end sooner than your “scheduled” last lesson
date, the remaining pre-paid tuition will be used to recompense the teacher
for all the unused full – time space(s) leading up to your last lesson date.
If you desire to cease lessons without a 1 or 2 month notice, the
equivalent of a “1” or “2” month’s full tuition will still be due “in full”.
This is to recompense the teacher for the vacancy/ vacancies of your
unoccupied, unused full time space(s)/time slots that are being held /
reserved in your name(s) in the music schedule during the final 1 or 2
month's leading up to your Last Lesson Date.

falls on either a
Tuesday or Wednesday…

New Years Day, July 4 th

Christmas Eve / Christmas Day

 If one of these Major holidays listed above falls on your lesson day
on either a Tuesday or Wednesday, you will receive
advance notice of an alternate day / time on one of my regular
teaching days to have your music lesson during the same week of
the listed major holiday. This will only apply if it is one of the major
holidays listed above. You may choose to accept the rescheduled
“major holiday” lesson offer or decline the offer with the
knowledge that the rescheduled lesson for the listed major holiday
will not be credited or rescheduled. In this case, I will just see you
the next week!

 Once a holiday reschedule has been confirmed, failure to take

advantage of the reschedule holiday lesson will be considered as a
forfeiture of your lesson for that week without any credits or any
additional. Holiday reschedule offers.
 IN THE EVENT OF AN
“ EMERGENCY TEACHER CANCELLATION”:

I highly prioritize the music teaching schedule each week!! Therefore, I

personally reserve canceling lessons for true emergencies only. It is VERY
seldom that I ever have to cancel lessons with my students; however, in
the event of a medical EMERGENCY, it is my promise that if I have to
cancel for personal emergency medical reasons, I will offer you an
alternate day / time in the music schedule on one of my teaching days
during the same week to make it up to you, if you'd like to take advantage
of the offer.

If you choose not to take advantage of the emergency teacher cancellation

reschedule offer, please know that it will not be credited or rescheduled.
In this case, I will just see you the next week!
 TIMELINESS TO LESSONS
(Re: TIMELY Student Arrival & Pickup)

Lessons appointment times are scheduled back to back on a timely

basis. In an effort to stay on schedule, timeliness is appreciated &
necessary from each student in order that each student receives the
entirety of the lesson they have paid for in a non-distracti
atmosphere.

Timeliness to lessons also keeps the music schedule running smoothly &
benefits everyone, including myself. Unfortunately, I cannot take
responsibility for arrival delays; therefore, you will need to allow extra
time in your schedule / driving time so that you will be able to be on time
for should a delay present itself before or while in route to music
lessons. Building in a time cushion applies to both Arrival to Lessons
and Picking up your child on time at the end of their lessons.

 While for safety reasons, I will not ever have your child sit outside
to await your arrival, please understand this creates a distraction,
as well can sometimes be intimidating to shy students for anyone
else to be in the room while they are singing /playing. Therefore, it
is necessary for all students to enter / exit the music studio right
at their scheduled start / end time! Please arrive a few minutes
early both during drop-off & pick-up times as there will need to be
a ride awaiting your child at the conclusion of their lesson.

 I want to give my undivided attention to each student! Therefore,

please await your lesson start time before entering the music
studio so that I may finish with the student before you. ☺ I will
not be ready to work / begin with the next student until it's their
lesson time.
  Also, if someone else is to pick your child up after lessons, it is
very important in consideration of your child’s safety that you let
me know this in advance!! Thanks!

Please note: Latecomers are welcome; however, please understand

beforehand that if you are late, your lesson will end at the normally
scheduled time.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and consideration concerning

the importance of timeliness to lessons. In the event or anticipation of a
delay coming to lessons, it is best to notify me ASAP with an estimated
time of arrival. While I won't be able to respond while teaching, A TEXT
to give me a head's up notice would be best as it would be less distracting.

Each child will be fully supervised & will receive my full attention “during
their lesson time” while you are waiting on them outside. However, each
parent will need to promptly arrive several minutes before the end of
their child's lesson time to be ready to pick up their child. It is very
important that when your child's lesson time is finished that their ride
is ready & waiting outside to pick them up so that I may give my full
attention to the next student in a non-distracting atmosphere without

interruptions. Thank so much for your advance consideration and

help!! (Please note: In an effort to stay on schedule & minimize
distractions (for both the student / myself) during lesson time, with the
exception of coming in quietly to use the restroom, it is requested that all
family / friends await all students outside. Thanks so much in advance for
your cooperation & understanding!! ☺
 When DROPPING OFF or PICKING up your child, it is preferred
that you circle the Cul-De-Sac pulling up & parking on the street in
front of our house so that your child may exit / enter safely from
the passenger side of the car. Your child is welcome to use the
driveway or walk in the grass, whichever is preferred or the safest.

 Please note: Our postman has requested that either parked or

running cars do not block their mail truck from driving up to our
mailbox 

 Parking is permitted in front of our home on the street. For

safety reasons we are requesting that no one park or pull up into
our driveway as there are young children at play, oil leaks, etc.

 When the student car in front of you leaves at the conclusion of

their lesson, please pull forward as much as you are able to allow
room for the incoming student cars following your child's lesson ;)
MUSIC STUDIO ENROLLMENT AGREEMENT / CONTRACT

Upon signing, I am agreeing that I have FULLY read & understand each page of the
Music Studio Policy & will faithfully adhere to ALL of the Music Studio Policies
therein. I pledge to faithfully do my part to make it a priority to truly honor each
aspect of this important commitment I have made throughout the course of my
child’s full time space being reserved in the music studio until their “Last Lesson
date.” I agree that our scheduled weekly Music Appointment & full time space in
the music studio for (circle) PIANO / VOICE lessons are each:

cash or mailed to ensure timely payment is received before or by the 6 th day
of each month. I understand that music lessons will not resume until each
monthly tuition has been received in full. Failure to pay in a timely manner may
result in the loss of my child’s full-time space in the Music Studio.

also understand that if I do not take advantage of my pre-paid weekly music

lessons offered in my child’s absence. I further standby this signed agreement
as being representative of my good faith commitment to consistently maintain my
full-time space with full-time attendance so that I may receive each pre-paid
lesson reserved for me in the music schedule. I understand that in order to protect
my full time space in the music studio that I am accountable to abide by each
aspect of the music studio policy for the duration of the time my full-time space is
being reserved in my child’s name in the music schedule until my scheduled “last
lesson date.”

lessons at any time, I agree to give the courtesy of the required“1-month”

I have carefully & fully reviewed and shared all necessary information in the Music
Studio Policy with my child regarding this very special commitment, as well. Our
signatures below represent that we agree to abide by the Music Studio Policy from
this signed date forward. I will respect the teacher’s right and heart’s desire to
provide EQUAL service to ALL students / parents! This is accomplished as she
faithfully does her part to follow through & honor each aspect of the Music Studio
Policy with everyone, as well. As she faithfully pledges to prioritize the student’s
Music Lesson Appointment time in the music schedule, I understand she does so for
the purpose of providing a good example to all students & parents to encourage
them to faithfully do the same so that we may all be good stewards of the time &
musical talents God has so graciously given to us with excellence!
