The Book Of John John 5:1-6

for educators
After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem
by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic called Bethesda, which has five roofed colonnades. In these
lay a multitude of invalids – blind, lame, and paralyzed. One man was there who had been an
invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been
there a long time, He said to Him, “Do you want to be healed?”

There’s a Word for that! Delight

We all have wants and needs. The Lord provides all our needs, especially when we delight in Him.
4

Let us learn to distinguish between our wants and needs by delighting in Him. He is most glorified
when we are most satisfied.

Psalm 37:4– Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We delight in You, Oh Lord. Your hand provides our
needs and even our wants at times. Help us to glorify
You as the Maker of everything. Help us Lord to see
Y

Your majestic creative powers in everyone and

everything we see today. Delight us Lord, in a special
way that we may give you all the praise. We delight in
You Lord, because You know our future and the future
of our students. Help us to be contagiously pointing
A

them to You with our actions and showing delight for all
that has been provided for us. We are grateful, Lord and
ask all of this in the delightful name of Jesus. Amen.

Meditation for the month

D

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on
its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the
truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
