Plan Training Session Written Exam

1. As a trainer, why do we need to prepare a session plan? What are the basis and references in preparing
your session plan? What are the elements of session plan?

We have to prepare session plan because as a trainer, it is our main guide, aid in delivering CBT and firm
basis in evaluating performance of the learners. It will give me an idea if where we are and where we are
going. It will give me and my trainees idea of what we are doing.

It is the blueprint of our training design.

2. What are the adult learning principles did you consider in preparing your session plan?

Principles of Adult Learning:


• Adults must want to learn
• Adults will learn only what they feel they need to learn
• Adults learn by comparing past experience with new experiences
• Adults need immediate feedback concerning their progress
• Adults wants their learning to be practical
• Adults try avoid failure
• Adults do not learn all the same way

3. What are your bases in sequencing the learning events in your session plan?

The sequence of activities in session plan is based on 9 events of instruction

Factors to consider in selecting training methods are:

• Space, Equipment and Materials

The most important factor to be considered in selecting a training method is the TRAINER. It is important for
a trainer to select a method that he/she is capable and comfortable for him/her to become effective in
delivering the training.

7. How will you determine the training needs of the prospective learner? What is your procedure in recognizing
the prior learning of prospective learners?

• By making a Training Needs Analysis. I will let the learner fill-up a self-assessment checklist, check and
validate proof of evidences such as certificates of trainings and certificate of employment,
demonstration of his learned knowledge and skills and by giving pre test. With this, I can now identify
the learner’s training gap between the required competencies and the current competencies acquired.

I will organize the teaching and learning resources in CBT by classifying them into equipment, tools and
materials based on TR.

The most important part of the CBLM is the MODULE CONTENT because without it, nothing will be the
basis in making the other parts.

11. What is an evidence plan?


• Evidence plan is the guide in collection of evidences during institutional assessment

12. Why do we need to prepare first the table of specification before writing a test question?

• Preparation of TOS before writing a test question is important to ensure validity of the test
• This will help us how many items we need to prepare to cover all the contents or objectives that we
need to assess based on the evidence plan we prepared
• To estimate the percentage of the test to be allocated to each topic at each level at which it is to be
measured
13. What are the different assessment methods? How do they differ?

Different Assessment Methods:


• Observation
• Demonstration/ Simulation
• Oral Questioning
• Written Test
• Portfolio

They differ by the way the learner will perform/ present them

14. How do you know that the assessment instruments are valid and cost effective?

• I would know that the assessment instrument is valid and cost effective it is supported with an
evidence plan in the case of evaluation, TOS in case of written exam and questioning tool in case
of oral questioning.
