The Philippine franchising sector is a growth

engine of the Philippine economy and has
been a catalyst in enterprise-creation and
job-generation. It has a healthy mix of foreign
and homegrown brands, which continue to
grow thanks to the country’s vibrant and
consumption-oriented market.

We, at the Philippine Franchise Association

(PFA), are proud to feature in this directory
a list of successful homegrown Filipino concepts and international master
franchise brands seeking joint venture partners and master franchisees
overseas. These are all tried and tested brands in the Philippines and a good
number of them have been in international operations for several years
exporting their brands to North America, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific.

These brands are offering international investment opportunities with high

potential for growth. Do take time to explore the brands offered in this directory.

Thank you very much!

PHILIPPINE FRANCHISE
2 INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) is the voluntary self-regulating body for franchising
in the Philippines. It is the country’s pioneer and largest franchise association with members
ranging from micro to large, both homegrown and international involved in the food, retail, ser-
vices and other types of businesses.

PFA members are bound by the Fair Franchising Standards (FFS), the Association’s code of
ethics, which exhorts members to practice transparency and fairness in the conduct of sale of
their franchises.

PFA is guided by its mission to promote franchising as a tool for economic development and na-
tion-building, through enterprise development and employment generation. Through the years,
it has become an important contributor to the Philippine economy and will continue to be an
economic growth engine.

PFA envisions the Philippines as the “Center for Franchise Development in Asia” by working for
an enabling environment that will promote the growth and success of international and home-
grown franchises and make the Philippines an ideal regional headquarters for international
franchises operating in the Asia-Pacific.

PFA is also committed to creating programs that will open opportunities for the expansion of
Philippine franchises domestically and overseas by assisting micro, small, and medium enter-
prises (MSMEs), including the development of incubation centers where highly franchiseable
concepts can be introduced to the mainstream market.

Recently, PFA was appointed Secretariat of the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) and
is expected to come up with programs that will drive the growth of franchising in the region. The
Association was also elected as one of the members of the Working Committee of the World
Franchise Council (WFC), whose task is to create activities that will further the agenda of the
said international body.

Company Description:
Pure Nectar, a cold-pressed juice brand was born from an urge to keep in step with the
on-the-go world today. Before Pure Nectar was Pure Nectar, though, it would be good
to point out they were rst and foremost, Fruit Magic. Yes, they started the fruit drink
business in the rst place, which has existed since 199fl, and when Dr. Alan took over
in ’99, he transformed the cart-based business into kiosk and lounges. So who better
to innovate on this than them, right? It was time for the fruit and vegetable juicing busi-
ness to get an upgrade. From the shake-and-kiosk model, it was time to advance it into
a product that a regular health buff would drop by for and buy to-go. As people started
becoming more health-savvy and conscious of their food intake, they wanted to keep
their products as fresh as possible, while conveniently bringing it with them on-the-go.

named Emiliano Caruncho III in 1981. The opportunity of starting Mr. Quickie

They were seen lugging around their box with tools peddling their shoe repair

and craftmanship. The concept was not new but the idea to professionalize
the industry was! The concept of a shoes & bags repair shop with trustworthy
