VMGO OF THE FORERUNNER

A STUDENT PUBLICATION OF BUSTOS CAMPUS

VISION

A recognized independent newspaper of the students informing the school community of

local, sectoral and national events that are of concern and interest to the studentry. The
Forerunner shall serve as a medium to facilitate the nationalist aspirations of the students
and shall embody and uphold the ideals and objectives of democracy and uphold the truth.

MISSION

The Forerunner shall be composed of qualified students and shall be published

independently by the students to uphold the exercise of freedom of expression or of the press and
assume the corresponding obligations.

GOALS
To realize its mission, the Forerunner, a Student Publication of Bustos Campus will
explore to:

1. To guard the right of any person, group, organization or institution to publish in its issues
their positions or reply on issues that were published in the said paper.

2. To be governed by principles and policies and regulations as may be promulgated by the

editorial board in accordance with the existing laws of the Republic.

3. To produce globally competitive students by providing comprehensive seminars and up-

to-date training.

4. Sustain editorial staff development through relevant seminars, workshops, and

scholarships grants.

OBJECTIVES

To provide students with holistic training by introducing new styles and techniques
in Student Publication and allowing them to experience actual workplace environment.

1. To inculcate discipline towards the achievements of professional competencies, integrity,

moral, and ethical values in campus journalism.

2. To encourage, promote, and develop knowledge of the studentry through freedom of

expression and press.

3. To promote culture of teamwork, discipline, nationalism and patriotism by exploring the

horizon in campus publication.

4. To contribute to the development of society through informing the school community of

local, sectoral and national events that are of concern and interest to the studentry and their
families.
