MST Global’s (MST) IMPACT Vehicle Wi-Fi Tags are rugged, DC powered tags specifically designed
to be mounted on mobile equipment and vehicles to compliment MST’s Proximity Awareness and Asset Tracking
system’s. The tags draw their power directly from the vehicle’s own electrical system ensuring continuous
operation of the tag.
When used in conjunction with MST’s Wireless Network Switches or Wireless Access Points it enables tagged items
to be accurately positioned in real-time, in any mining environment from open pit to underground. Tag messages
are received and processed by MST’s Wi-Fi access points, keeping infrastructure costs low and installation simple.
For accurate positioning at choke points, the tag is designed for use with MST’s EX09 Exciter. Tag locations are
determined by a unique beaconing method that keeps network impact low and ensures scalability.
