Short Script (UTS)

As you grow into adulthood, you pass through a called adolescence. Your emotional
growth goes hand in hand with your mental growth. To understand why you and others of your
age behave as you do, you must understand some of the behavioral traits of
adolescents/teenagers.

Scene 1 (They are happy at times but become moody for some reason or another. They are
sensitive and get easily upset.)

ACT (A1; A2)

A1: A2 I’ll fix your hair it’s messy.

A2: No! it’s okay

A1: Oh! Yung uniform mo ayusin ko din

A2: Ayss. Oo ako na

A1: Im just helping you lang nmn, go bahala ka!

A2: okay okay, sige ayusin muna

A1: NO, ikaw na you can handle it with yourself.

Explanation: We believe this [imbalance] contributes to the moodiness and can increase the
stress response, too. This is a concern because too much stress in the teen years changes the
way your brain develops
SCENE 2

(Many teenagers nowadays defiant behavioural traits and rapidly changing moods, sometimes it
engaged them to emotional verbal conflict with family or peers.)

Scene 2 (They tend to be permissive which often times cause conflicts.(ambitious &
philosopher(pilosopo))

ACT (A3; A4)

A3: Dad, alis muna ako.

A4: NO, no one will leave this house

A3: But?

A4: No BUTs!

A3: Pag si (PERSONA) pwede tas ako hind?! Your unfair dad!

A4: What! Now you’re talking back, I let you go out last week because you told me that it’s your
best friend’s birthday and now?

A3: ---------

A4: Just go upstairs and study, sleep or do anything just don’t leave the house and that’s finals!
You hear me!

A3:---------silence

A4: Are you deaf? Talk ! (A3) !

A3: Pag nagsalita ako you’re telling me that I’m talking back to you and now??

A4: At talaga kang bat aka!

A3: la la la la aalis ako, Im not asking if pumapayag ka or what?

Explanation: A troubled teen, on the other hand, exhibits behavioral, emotional, or
learning problems beyond typical teenage issues. They may repeatedly practice at-
risk behaviors including drinking, drug use, sex, violence, skipping school, self-harming,
shoplifting, or other criminal acts

Different parenting style related to cultural background impact teens, example asian families
may emphasize independence and harmony but some of these like Caucasian tend to draw
from more permissive, less authoritarian parenting style in comparison.
