Self consciousness for me is the capability to know your limitations and other things such as

obligations, responsibilities and personal information. It claims to be an ability to know simple questions
lingering in your mind but often makes you think of what lies further. It continuously revolves around
oneself. However according to the book it is one of the characteristics of the unique traits of man. It
stimulates the mind to have flooding questions. It’s the basis of personal and social responsibility for it
has the ability to talk and interact with other people. It makes you aware of what you lack and what you
need to improve. There’s a self that distinct for the body. According to St. Augustine, there are two parts,
the body and the soul. In where he explained that it is merely the body that is imperfect, while the soul
stays pure. I think it’s the “self” that drives the body to sin because you’ll have conscious on what you’re
doing whether it’s wrong or right, in terms of making decisions. Because what you do will always be your
choice. It holds the enigma of your whole being by analyzing things vividly. Whenever you make
decisions think about the people that’ll be affected among your choice. One mistake can make your whole
life a life time of regrets.

Arguments that are against the choice of freedom are for first, religion. Religion causes you to
stop choosing freely for it makes you think more of the consequences for a higher being that you praise
for living up to the thought that we should do anything for him, well in fact, we should do things for the
greater good. We should choose things because it's right, not because for someone. Second is pre
destination. When you think about it, believing in pre destination pretty much ruins your all and out most
stake of possibilities in life because of thinking the format that everything is destined and everything is on
plan. Imagine going on an audition in that one thing you're good at, yet you didn't pass it. You could've
polished that talent, but by thinking all the things are destined, it ruins everything. Third is politics. Some
laws in the government prevent you from doing ethical things for the ones who needs supports. Culture,
culture is against the freedom of choice because older people telling you how to grow up makes you think
things that they consider wrong as wrong without even exploring it. Fourth would be society. The society
nowadays actually sucks. It judges you from every corner making you think that everything’s wrong.
They always misunderstood things and spread out wrongly accused rumors that could ruin your
reputation.

Ethical discrimination is rooted in the fundamental law of survival for it talks about the things we
do ethically by contributing theories to understand the ethics wider. Let’s start with formalism. It is also
known as formal ethics. It teaches the morality of human acts depending on its duty. Where there are no
considered emotions and intentions. Where you do things according to what you need to do. For example,
you shall help people in need because they’re in need. It’s as simple as that. The morality in this theory is
to mind your own business and take care of your own conflicts. Next is utilitarianism which is the exact
opposite of formalism. It makes you decide on what’s for greater good and for others. Even if it takes one
down, it’s okay. As long as many people will be the consequence it’s all okay. The third one is legalism.
It talks about people doing good by doing the law. Its moral is to obey the law no matter what. This
ethical theory isn’t all that good. It prevents people to help by some parts of the law. This theory is
actually frustrating. Lastly is Situationism. This theory is teaching you morality by doing what’s best
according to the current situation. I prefer this one out of all the said theories, because it stimulates your
brain into thinking what to do quick and it helps you take risks from the situations.
