﷽

َ‫ا ْق َرأْ ِبا ْس ِم َر ِب َك الَّذِي َخلَق‬

1. Recite in the name of your Lord who created –

‫سانَ ِم ْن َعلَق‬ ِ ْ َ‫َخلَق‬

َ ‫اْل ْن‬
2. Created man from a clinging substance.

‫ا ْق َرأْ َو َرب َُّك ْاْل َ ْك َرم‬

3. Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -

‫الَّذِي َعلَّ َم بِ ْالقَلَ ِم‬

4. Who taught by the pen –

‫سانَ َما لَ ْم يَ ْعلَ ْم‬ ِ ْ ‫َعلَّ َم‬

َ ‫اْل ْن‬
5. Taught man that which he knew not.

ْ ‫سانَ لَ َي‬
‫طغَى‬ ِ ْ ‫َك ََّّل ِإ َّن‬
َ ‫اْل ْن‬
6. No! [But] indeed, man transgresses

‫أ َ ْن َرآه ا ْست َ ْغنَى‬

7. Because he sees himself self-sufficient.

ُّ ‫ِإ َّن ِإلَى َر ِب َك‬

‫الر ْجعَى‬
8. Indeed, to your Lord is the return.
 ‫ْت الَّذِي يَ ْن َهى‬
َ ‫أ َ َرأَي‬
9. Have you seen the one who forbids

‫صلَّى‬
َ ‫َع ْبدًا ِإ َذا‬
10. A servant when he prays?

‫ْت ِإ ْن َكانَ َعلَى ْاله َدى‬

َ ‫أ َ َرأَي‬
11. Have you seen if he is upon guidance

‫أ َ ْو أ َ َم َر ِبالت َّ ْق َوى‬
12. Or enjoins righteousness?

‫ب َوت َ َولَّى‬ َ ‫أ َ َرأَي‬

َ َّ‫ْت ِإ ْن َكذ‬
13. Have you seen if he denies and turns away –

َ َّ ‫أَلَ ْم يَ ْعلَ ْم ِبأ َ َّن‬

‫َّللا يَ َرى‬
14. Does he not know that Allah sees?

ِ َّ‫َك ََّّل لَئِ ْن لَ ْم يَ ْنت َ ِه لَنَ ْسفَعًا بِالن‬

‫اصيَ ِة‬
15. No! If he does not desist, we will surely drag him by the forelock –

ِ ‫َاصيَة َكا ِذبَة خ‬

‫َاطئَة‬ ِ ‫ن‬
16. A lying, sinning forelock.

‫فَ ْليَ ْدع نَا ِديَه‬

17. Then let him call his associates;
 َ‫الزبَانِيَة‬
َّ ‫سنَ ْدع‬
َ
18. We will call the angels of Hell.

ْ‫َك ََّّل ََل ت ِط ْعه َوا ْسج ْد َوا ْقت َ ِرب‬

19. No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah].
