HOW-TO GUIDE: How to create a fingerprint of your device on a USB

storage?
To be able to install navigation updates, you will need to create a "fingerprint" of your system on a
USB storage. To create a "fingerprint" follow the steps below:

1.Select the NAVI button on your Renault Media Nav device.

2. Select the Options menu.

3. Scroll to the right using the arrow button and select Map Update.
4. Select the Options menu.

5. Plug in a USB storage into your Renault Media Nav device.

6. Select Update.
This will create your system's "fingerprint" on your USB storage.

7. Wait until the fingerprint creation is completed.

Do not remove the USB storage until the operation is complete.

8. Remove the USB storage.

After the Copy to USB process has been finished successfully, you may remove the USB storage and continue to
use your Renault Media Nav Toolbox.
HOW-TO GUIDE: How to activate your Media Nav Navigation system?

If you haven’t activated the navigation in your Media Nav System yet, please follow the next steps:
1. Select “Settings” on your device.

2. Set the status of the “Navigation” to “On”.

3. Create a fingerprint of your device, as described in these instructions.

4. On your PC, visit dacia.naviextras.com and download the Dacia Media Nav Toolbox software, which is required for
the purchase. You can find further installation instructions here.
5. Register on the website, and log in to Dacia Media Nav Toolbox.
6. In Dacia Media Nav Toolbox, click the “Catalogue” button in the menu bar on the left hand side. Here you can
purchase the navigation software license, which is needed for using your navigation software. If you don’t know how
to make the purchase, please read this guide.
7. After purchasing this license, the map packages will become available. Please note that the purchase of this
licence entitle you only to use your navigation software, but it doesn’t contain any maps.
If the purchase was successful, your navigation is ready to use.
Am reusit sa actualizez urmand acesti pasi :
1. Se porneste motorul masinii !!! Se pune softul media nav de la masina
dvs pe un stick folosind : navigare - optiuni - harti - actualizare (de fapt nu
face actualizarea softului pe masina ci descarcarea acelei versiuni de soft a
masinii pe stick)
2. Se face un cont aici

3. Se descarca tot de acolo softul lor pt update
3. Se introduce stickul in calculator si aplicatia o sa va ceara sa va logati cu
userul si parola din pasul 2
4. Se da update din aplicatie si se descarca pe stick hartile noi
5. Se merge la masina si se porneste motorul !!! Se introduce stick-ul cu
media nav inchis de la butonul de power. Cand se deschide media nav
acesta detecteaza update-ul si va cere confirmarea de update. Aveti multa
rabdare, desi pare ca s-a blocat instalarea se face corect. Nu inchideti
motorul, nu scoateti stick-ul pana nu aveti mesaj de confirmare a update-
ului.
Atentie, daca sunt mai multe update-uri este posibil sa fie nevoie sa repetati
pasii 1-5 de mai multe ori. Asa a fost in cazul meu...
