PCS, TEHSILDARS , A.O, R.O, A.D
AND OTHER EXAMS
2017-2018
1. Sulah Hudaibiyah Six years after Hijrah, Over 1,400 Muslims donned ihram for
Umra. They took 70 camels with them for sacrifice. As per the established
practice, the Makkans were bound to allow pilgrims coming — but without arms
— to perform Umrah. But, alarmed by the huge Muslim presence, the Quraish
leaders decided not to allow them from entering the city and sent Khaled Bin
Walid with 200 fighters to stop them defying the centuries-old Arab tradition.
The holy Prophet (peace be upon him) changed the route of Taneem to avoid
confrontation and came to a lesser-known place called Hudaibiyah on the
western edge of the city.
Determined not to allow Muslims enter the city, Makkans sent Urwah bin Masud to
negotiate with the Prophet. Highly impressed with the scenes of Prophet’s love
among his followers, Urwah said, “I have visited the royal courts of the Persians,
Roman and Ethiopian kingdoms, but I have never seen the kind of respect and
high esteem as the followers of Mohammad have for him. They have come only
for worship. Let them enter the holy city.” But the Makkan leaders were bent
upon preventing the Muslims. The holy Prophet (peace be upon him) later sent
Uthman bin Affan who had good contacts in Makkah but they detained him and
spread a rumor to upset the Muslims that Uthman has been killed. This was a
great challenge. Though 400 km away from his city and having no proper arms
to fight, he prepared for a war like situation and called his followers to prepare
for fight unto death. The people rushed to take an oath of allegiance on his pious
hand (Bait e Rizwan) and within short time the news reached Makkah that 1400
volunteers were ready to fight unto death. This broke their morale and Makkans
agreed to discuss terms of peace with him.
They released Uthman and sent Sohayl bin Amr Al-Thaqafi to negotiate the terms of
peace with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Sohayl (later embraced
Islam) was very tough in dealings. He reached the following terms:
In the name of Almighty Allah. These are the conditions of peace between
Muhammad, son of Abdullah, and Suhayl
Ibn Amr the envoy of Makkah: 1. There will be an armistice between the two parties
and no fighting for the next 10 years.
2. Any person or tribe who wishes to join Muhammad and to enter into any
agreement with him is free to do so. Likewise any person or tribe who wishes to
join the Quraish and to enter into any agreement with them is free to do so. 3. If
any Makkan went to Madinah, then Muslims would return him to Makkah, but
if any Muslim from Madinah went to Makkah, he would not be returned. 4. If
any young man, or one whose father is alive, goes to Muhammad without
permission from his father or guardian, will be returned to his father or guardian.
But if anyone goes to the Quraish of Makkah, will not be returned.
5. This year the Muslims will go back without entering Makkah. But next year
Muhammad and his followers can enter Makkah, spend three days and perform
the Umrah.
Apparently, it was an agreement that went against the wishes of the Muslims, but
later it turned out to be a great victory for Muslims.
2. Parents' rights in islam: And thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but
Him and that ye be kind to parents, (behave kindly with them and do not compel
them to bring th: eir needs to your attention; but fulfil their requirements before
they have to tell you, even though in reality they are not in need of your
assistance); if one or both of them attain old age in thy life, (and be-come angry
with. you) say not to them a single word of contempt, and (if they beat you) repel
them not; but address them in terms of honour (and respect, i.e., say to them
`May Allah forgive you') and, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility
(and whenever you look at them, look with gentleness and kindness; do not raise
your voice upon their voices, nor your hands above their hands; nor walk before
them); and say: “My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me
in childhood.” (Qur'an, 17:23-24) . This explanation covers all three rights of
parents: To cheerfully bear the hardship inflicted by parents, to talk to them
gently, and not to raise your hands and voice above theirs and not to pre-cede
them in any way

4. Where prophet stayed three days before his demise : Prophet Muhammad
spent his last days with ‘A’isha RA and when his illness intensified three days
before his demise, he asked Abu Bakr to lead the prayers. At a point at which he
felt better, he went to the Mosque with the assistance of ‘Ali and Fadl ibn ‘Abbas
and when Abu Bakr, who was leading the prayers, retreated to allow the Prophet
to return to his place, the Prophet indicated for him to continue and stood for
prayer by his side. Following the morning prayer of the day the Prophet passed
away, Abu Bakr visited him and upon seeing his situation slightly improved,
sought his permission and retuned to his home. However, the Prophet’s
condition deteriorated suddenly. According to ‘A’isha’s account, before Prophet
Muhammad passed away, he said softly, “There is no god but God, how difficult
it is to surrender the soul!” and passed away in her arms, with the words, “To
Rafiq al-A'la! (the Highest Abode)” (13 Rabi’ al-Awwal, 11/Monday 8 June, 632).

Therefore, the Messenger of God gathered the Ansar and the migrants together five
months after migrating to Medina. He appointed ninety Muslims, the forty-five
of whom were from the Ansar and the other forty-five from the migrants, as
brothers.
This foundation of brotherhood established by the Prophet was based on mutual
economic and psychological support and the principle of being inheritors to each
other, which in turn aimed to provide migrants with support to get over the
sorrow and misery they felt because of homesickness.
According to this foundation of brotherhood established, leaders of each family in
Medina would provide a Muslim family from Mecca with accommodation and
share their belongings with them, and they would work together.
The Prophet did not choose two Muslims to become brothers randomly. Contrarily,
he investigated them carefully and appointed the best matches as brothers. For
instance, there was an exact harmony between Salman al Farisi and Abu’d-
Dardaa; Ammar and
Khuzaifa; Mus’ab and Abu Ayyub, in terms of character, likes, and feelings. (2)

swooped down upon the leadership and locked up them all in jail, including
Gandhi. There was turmoil in parts of India for about three months. The rail
communications were damaged, police stations were attacked, sacked and
burnt, the Congress Socialist Party and other terrorists got busy doing everything
they could do to paralyze the war effort, destroy the agencies of the Government
and spread anarchy. After a short span, the Government was able to suppress
the movement. To the Congress slogan of "Quit India", the Quaid's answer was
"Divide and Quit". When the Muslim League Working Committee met in Bombay
on 16 August, 1942, there were many who wanted the League to plunge blindly
into the struggle, while others went to the extreme of giving full and
unconditional support to the British and crushing the Congress. The Quaid
wisely advocated a middle course avoiding both the Congress and the British

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women,
but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them
as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they
abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in
kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your
partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make
friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as
never to be unchaste. O People, listen to me in

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab
nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no
superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by
piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim
and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be
legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given
freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to
yourselves. Remember, one day you will appear before
ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of
righteousness after I am gone.
All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others
again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who
listen to me directly. Be my witness, O ALLAH, that I have conveyed your
message to your people".

150. Why The year Amm ul fil is famous.
Waqia e Feel is an important incident in Islamic History. Waqia e feel is also known
as Aamul feel. It happened in the year of birth (50 or 55 days before) birth of
Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Abraha was the Governor General of Yemen.
He constructed a large “Kaleesa” because he wanted that people come to his
“Kaleesa” for Haj instead of Kaaba in Mecca. Upon failure, he invaded Mecca with
large army to destroy Kaaba. His army had 9 or 11 elephants. Meccans were
defenseless and ran to the hills because they don’t have power to fight with this

166. EUROPEAN UNION.
The genesis and history of the Kashmir dispute will remain incomplete unless the
perfidious role played by Sir Cyril Radcliff, apparently at Mountbatten’s behest,
is recalled. Incontrovertible evidence is available that Mountbatten was very keen
to see that the whole Gurdaspur district, which had a Muslim majority, should
not be assigned to Pakistan. Mountbatten’s strategy was that Punjab may be
divided in such a manner that the state of Jammu and Kashmir could join either
India or Pakistan.
The renowned British writer, Aalstair Lamb in his book, ‘Kashmir, a disputed legacy’,
has also established a sinister collusion between Mountbatten and the Indian
Congress leadership as a result of which the Boundary Commission awarded
Gurdaspur to India which culminated in the Indian intervention in Jammu and
Kashmir on October 27, 1947. In the words of Quaid-i-Azam, the Radcliff Award
was an unjust, incomprehensible and even perverse award.
Members
Partition committee proposed that Sir Cyrill Radcliffe should be invited to serve as
chairman of the Punjab and Bengal Boundary Commission. Radcliffe was a
renowned barrister who came from England. The League and the Congress
nominated two High Court judges.
The members of Punjab Boundary Commission were Din Muhammad and
Muhammad Munir on behalf of Pakistan and Mehr Chand Mahajan and Tej
Singh on behalf of India while members of Bengal Boundary Commission were
Abu Saleh and S.A. Rahman on behalf of Pakistan and C.C Biswas and B.K.
Mukherji on behalf of India.
Controversy in division of Punjab
In the division of Punjab, the award was unfair and awarded a number of Muslim
majority areas to India. In Gurdaspur district two contiguous Muslim majority
Tehsils of Gurdaspur and Batala were given to India along with Pathankot tehsil
to provide a link between India and the Stat of Jammu and Kashmir. The Muslim
majority tehsil Ajnala in the Amritsar district was also handed over to India. In
Jullundur district the Muslim majority areas of Zira and Ferozepur in the
Ferozepur distirct, were also given to India.
Controversy in division of Bengal
Similarly, in Bengal the most important question related to the future of Calcutta. It
was the capital of the province. Although the Muslims formed only a quarter of
the population of Calcutta, a large section of its population consisted scheduled
castes that were allied with the Muslim League. In any case, for more than two
hundred years the Muslims of Bengal had contributed to make Calcutta what it
was in 1947 a centre of commerce and industry.
The city of Calcutta, the capital of the province, was the biggest industrial, commerce
and educational centre. The entire development of Calcutta was based on the toil
of Muslim peasantry of Bengal. East Bengal produced most of the raw material
which had to be sent to Calcutta because all factories and mills were in Calcutta.
The Congress leaders were determined to get Calcutta by all foul or fair means.
Eventually, Calcutta was awarded to India ignoring the claim of the Muslim.
198. Who opposed and who accepted cabinet mission plan.
Reaction to the Cabinet Mission Plan
The Congress accepted the proposals related to the Constituent assembly. But since,
the Muslim league had been given disproportionate representation; it rejected
the idea of the Interim Government. Congress also rejected the idea of a weak
centre and division of India in small states. Congress was against
decentralization and the idea was to have a strong centre.
The Muslim league first approved the plan. But when Congress declared that it could
change the scheme through its majority in the Constituent Assembly, they
rejected the plan.
On July 27, the Muslim League Council met at Bombay where Jinnah reiterated the
demand for Pakistan as the only course left open to the Muslim League.
On July 29, it rejected the plan and called the Muslims to resort to “Direct Action”
to achieve the land of their dream “Pakistan”. August 16, 1946 was fixed as
“Direct Action Day

was developed after the experience of Iraq's Scud missile attacks during the Gulf
War in 1991. The THAAD interceptor carries no warhead, but relies on its kinetic

the risk of exploding conventional warhead ballistic missiles, and the warhead
of nuclear tipped ballistic missiles will not detonate on a kinetic energy hit.

Panama Papers scandal, were arrested in Panama City on Thursday as the
country’s attorney general launched a probe into their alleged connections with

217. CPEC projects
China–Pakistan Economic Corridor is a collection of infrastructure projects that are
currently under construction throughout Pakistan. Originally valued at $46
billion, the value of CPEC projects is now worth $62 billion. CPEC is intended to
rapidly modernize Pakistani infrastructure and strengthen its economy by the
construction of modern transportation networks, numerous energy projects, and
special economic zones. On 13 November 2016, CPEC became partly operational
when Chinese cargo was transported overland to Gwadar Port for onward
maritime shipment to Africa and West Asia.
A vast network of highways and railways are to be built under the aegis of CPEC that
will span the length and breadth of Pakistan. Modern transportation networks
built under CPEC will link seaports in Gwadar and Karachi with northern
Pakistan, as well as points further north in western China and Central Asia. A
1,152 kilometre long motorway will be built between the cities of Karachi and
Lahore as part of CPEC, while the Karakoram Highway between Rawalpindi and
the Chinese border will be completely reconstructed and overhauled. The
Karachi–Peshawar main railway line will also be upgraded to allow for train travel
at up to 160 km per hour by December 2019. Pakistan's railway network will

The Russian Empire initially had little interest in the North Caucasus itself other
than as a communication route to its ally Georgia and its enemies, the Persian
and Ottoman Empires, but growing tensions triggered by Russian activities in
the region resulted in an uprising of Chechens against the Russian presence in
1785, followed by further clashes and the outbreak of the Caucasian War in
1817. Russia only succeeded in suppressing the Chechen rebels in 1864.
During the Russian Civil War, Chechens and other Caucasian nations lived in
independence for a few years before being Sovietized in 1921. During the Second
World War, the Chechens saw the German invasion as an opportunity to revolt
against the Soviet regime. In response, they were deported en masse to Central
Asia where they were forced to stay until 1957.
The most recent conflict between Chechen and the Russian government took place
in the 1990s. As the Soviet Union disintegrated, the Chechen separatists
declared independence in 1991. By late 1994 the First Chechen War broke out
and after two years of fighting the Russian forces withdrew from the region. In
1999, the fighting restarted and concluded the next year with the Russian
security forces establishing control over Chechnya.

Before the inclusion of Hazrat Umar (R.A) in the circle of Islam, Muslims
could not offer Salah publicly due to fear of forceful chiefs of the Qureyshi
tribes. But soon after his identification with the Religion of Peace, the believers
got the courage to come openly in front of them as they knew no one
would dare to interfere as long as Umar (R.A) was there. He (R.A) was the one

in the Haram (the Holy Kaaba), where the Messenger ﷺof
Allah for the first time lead the Muslim prayer. Due to such
courageous proposal of Hazrat Umar (R.A), he was given the title of Al-

distinguishes between the right and the wrong”. Narrated by Abdullah bin

the longest wavelength of any color on the visible spectrum, meaning you can
see it from a greater distance than other colors.
Why we wear light color clothes in summer: Light-colored clothing reflects light
and darkcolored clothing absorbs it. The more heat that is absorbed the hotter
the clothing is and the hotter you are. Furthermore, light-colored clothing looks
softer and cooler due to reflection of heat / sunlight.
Why pressure cooker cook things in less Time: Inside a pressure cooker, once
the water (liquid) is boiling and the steam is trapped, the pressure from the
trapped steam increases and this pushes on the liquid, which increases its
boiling temperature, because it becomes harder for the water molecules to
escape from the surface as the pressure increases on it. The heat applied to the
liquid by the heat source continues to create more steam pressure and the extra
heat also raises the temperature of the liquid under this increased pressure.
Why it is recommended to take out ink from pen when you sit in aero plane:
Your fountain pen has an ink cartridge (or a tank or a converter) which contains
ink; besides ink it also has air inside it. When airborne, pressure inside cabin is
low which may cause air inside the pen to expand and the expanding air will
cause the ink to be pushed out.

Compagnoni.
The name K2 is derived from the notation used by the Great Trigonometric Survey
of British India. Thomas Montgomerie made the first survey of the Karakoram
from Mount Haramukh, some 210 km (130 miles) to the south, and sketched the
two most prominent peaks, labeling them K1 and K2. The policy of the Great
Trigonometric Survey was to use local names for mountains wherever possible
and K1 was found to be known locally as Masherbrum. K2 appeared not to have
acquired a local name, possibly due to its remoteness. The name Mount Godwin-
Austen was suggested, in honor of Henry Godwin-Austen, an early explorer of
the area.
Where K2 is located: in Karakorum range, 8,611 metres,

system, designed to shoot down short, medium, and intermediate range ballistic
missiles in their terminal phase (descent or reentry) by intercepting with a hit-

missile attacks during the Gulf War in 1991. The THAAD interceptor carries no
warhead, but relies on its kinetic energy of impact to destroy the incoming
missile. A kinetic energy hit minimizes the risk of exploding conventional
warhead ballistic missiles, and the warhead of nuclear tipped ballistic missiles
will not detonate on a kinetic energy hit.
