After declaring the National Dengue epidemic the Department of health together with the Government

agencies, LGU's, Schools, offices, and communities conduct the Sabayang 4 o'clock Habit para deng-get
out, focusing on the search and destroy of all mosquito breeding sites. The 4's in fighting dengue stands
for: Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites; Secure self protection measures by means of using
mosquito repellents and wearing long pants and long- sleeved shirts; Seek early consultation and;
Support fogging/ spraying in hotspot areas. The 4's aims to emphasis on vector control as a strategy to
prevent and control dengue.

In participation to the nationwide's 4 o'clock habit, the students and school staffs of Rizal National High
School spearheaded by the School principal Mrs. Flordelisa V. Magana implemented the said habit last
September 9, 2019 to prevent the occurrence of dengue in the school vicinity.

The Grade 11 STEM students actively participate in the 4 o'clock habit which started on the same day it
was implemented. The students of grade 11 STEM was divided into five groups. Each group was assigned
to clean in a particular area which are the classroom, hallway, landscape, vegetable garden and comfort
room.

On day one, September 9,2019, Monday, each group cleaned on their assigned areas; group one in
classroom, group 2 in hallway, group 3 in landscape, group 4 in vegetable garden and group 5 in
comfort room. Everyone in the class participated and were able to accomplished the day one of the 4
o'clock habit.
