Sol. Length of the room = 8.25m or 825cm

Breadth of the room = 6.75m = 675cm

Height of the room = 4.50m = 450cm

We have to find the longest rod that can measure the three dimensions of

A passenger, while boarding the plane, slipped from the stairs and got hurt.
The pilot took the passenger in the emergency clinic at the airport for
treatment. Due to this, plane got delayed by half an hour. To reach the
destination 1500km away in time, so that the passengers could catch the
connecting flight, the speed of the plane was increased by 250 km/hour
than the usual speed. What is the usual speed of the plane?

Sol- Let the amount of their respective capitals be Rs. x and Rs. y.

Acc. to question,

x+100=2(y-100)

x-2y=-300 (i)

30- Construct an isosceles triangle whose base is 6cm and altitude 4cm. Then
construct another triangle whose sides are 3/4 times the corresponding
sides of the isosceles triangle. (4)

Sol. Steps of construction:

(i) Draw a line segment BC=6cm.

(ii) Draw a perpendicular bisector of BC which cuts the line BC at Q.
(iii) Cut the line QA=4cm.
(iv) Join A to B and C.
(v) Triangle ABC is the given triangle.
(vi) Draw a ray BX making an acute angle with BC.
(vii) Mark the four points 𝐵7 , 𝐵$ , 𝐵8 and 𝐵C on the ray BX, such that 𝐵𝐵7 =
𝐵7 𝐵$ = 𝐵$ 𝐵8 = = 𝐵8 𝐵C .
(viii) Join 𝐵C 𝐶. Draw 𝐵8 𝐶 ¶ ||𝐵C 𝐶.
(ix) From 𝐶 ¶ 𝑑𝑟𝑎𝑤 𝐶 ¶ 𝐴¶ ||𝐶𝐴 meeting BA at 𝐴¶ .
Hence, ∆𝐴¶ 𝐵𝐶′ is a required triangle.
