Introduction
The VOKKERO GUARDIAN Devices and Configurator have the capabilities to be updated though the Configurator by
using inserting a USB key with the last software version files into the dedicated USB port, located on the left side of the
configurator (see User Guide 210072A for more information).
As the Wireless Interface (Wi) share the same USB kind of connectivity, the same software update procedure through
the Configurator is not possible. Then, a specific procedure exists for updating the software version of the Wi through a
computer.

Wi software updating procedure

Contact your vendor or our Technical Support on our website (www.vokkero.com) to obtain the most recent software
version and the Wi-Programmer-Installer.

Prerequisite
To proceed to the Accessory-table update, your software version of the Configurator must be superior or equal to
02.XX.XX (See System > Software Update > Configurator Update). If it is not the case (e.g. 01.XX.XX), contact your
vendor or our Technical Support on our website (www.vokkero.com) to obtain the most recent Configurator software
version (e.g. 02.01.05).

To update the Wi :
• Open the program WI_Programmer_installer (V1.1.0).
• Validate authorisation, you have to be administrator of your computer to proceed with the installation of the
WI_Programmer_installer
• Choose your language
• Follow to the setup/installation choosing default proposed options.
• A new Vokkero folder is created (C:\Program Files (x86)\VOKKERO\WI_Programmer).

1- Launch the WI_Programmer_installer program

2- Connect the Wi to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
3- Switch the Wi to ON
4- The Auto Detection (at the top left of the window) must pass from “Connection error” in red to “OK (AutoDetect)”
in green.
If this is the case, you can go to step #5.
In case, the Auto Detection does not switch from red to green :
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable on your computer
- If it still does not work : Open the SERIAL COM configuration by double-clicking on the Wi picture (picture
located on the top left of the window)
Click on “Install Wi driver” button (located on the top right of the new window) and follow procedure
for installing the Wi driver
Validate by clicking on the “OK” button once the installation procedure of the driver of the Wi is
completed
NB : if needed, please note that the driver is located in the folder : C:\Program Files
(x86)\STMicroelectronics\Software\Virtual comport driver

5- Click on “Select update file” button (located on the top of the window)
6- Access to the .def file (e.g Tx_2018-01-08_12.25) in the BL Pack ( e.g. BL_Pack_2018-01-08 12.25 Terminal
STM + DSP (V02-01.07-01.05)) that your VOKKERO vendor or support service had provided to you.
7- Click on “Upload Wi”
8- Communication system update shall be displayed
9- Click on “Start update” (located on the bottom of the window)
10- Update is on-going
11- Update shall be done successfully
