DEVELOPING THE RESEARCH IN YOU

Direction: Consider your field of study in your senior high school now. Dream of
what profession you wanted to become five years from now. How will you apply
quantitative research in your future job? Make a short essay about your plan on
the space provided.

THE PEDANT

My ultimate goal is to change the lives of people. Studying to be a teacher is hard. All
of the students, co-teachers, and the time spent just to become a teacher is stressful. But the thought
of being able to help just one person changes everything. I want to motivate students to do their
best, to guide students to success when no one else will, and I’m always available to listen. One
teacher can change the lives of thousand students. That is my motivation.
Five years from now, I’m dreaming to become a professional teacher. But before that,
I need to study first the quantitative research. As long as I can remember, I’m teaching my
neighbors and my cousins how to read, to draw, to write and to solve problems. I know myself that
I use a quantitative research, because I gather data and facts before I teach. And from what I learned
to my past teachers, they're always there to guide me, support me and encourage me to keep
studying for me to reach my goals. It feels awesome because helping other people makes my heart
whelmed. When I started to go school, I started to see a dream of writing in big chalkboard. I
dream to share my knowledge to students. It feels indescribable when I get to see a child’s eyes lit
up when they finally achieve something I have been teaching them and they have been struggling
with. Seeing a child after this moment is exceptionally rewarding, because they are typically
extremely happy and proud of themselves. That feeling will help them solve problem, build
confidence, and face more difficult challenges in the future. I know I have skills that will help
other people to solve their problem. I have a skill leading them to a brighter future. I will apply
quantitative research in my future job by giving fact information’s. And if they not apply research,
they only teach with no references and fake news, ideas/thoughts. Quantitative help teachers to
investigate a variety of topics, including: assessment design, item writing and task development,
scoring, scaling, equating, standard setting, item-response modeling, design and execution of
validity and reliability studies, and the influence of measurement error and bias.
