“A-List Celebrity”

Marcus Travis was what the women called a ‘’Scrub”. He lived at an old rundown tenant building two
blocks down from his mother. So when he didn’t have enough money to pay the rent he would stay at
his mother’s. He never accomplished anything unless he was conning women or trying to come up on
some cash until one day he met an old friend from high school that has everything. The money, power
and all the women he wants. He goes with famous women and cons them out of their money even if it
means murder. Marcus sees this as an easy getaway and becomes intrigued in a famous singer who has
everything. Will the songstress become aware of Marcus’s strange actions or will she be sucked up in a
web of lies and deceit.

Kylie Martin has everything going her way. She has the fans the perfect friends and fans that loves and
supports her, but sometimes it gets lonely on the road, not having anybody to share the spotlight with.
All of her friends are married with children and she’s the only one has neither until one day she goes to
New York for an interview with some friends and she’s introduced to Marcus, who she instantly falls in
love with. A few months later after her friend is murdered and she runs into a friend of his past she
starts having doubts.

Chauncey La’Shae is a young and talented actress who just got married to guy that she thinks she could
spend the rest of her life with. They only been dating for two months and she deeply falls in love with
him and agrees to marry him right away. Her family is very distraught on her decision and knows that
he’ s just using her for her money and getting closer to other women for his next victim. Her and tony
soon starts to have problems and she starts falling back in love with her high school sweetheart and
realizes that he’s using her. But she overlooks his flaws after she becomes pregnant and becomes so
inhabited in the love she think he has for her and is murdered.

Tony McCarthy is a very handsome con-artist who strips famous women out of their money. He later
falls for this actress that can lead him to a better life, and uses her for everything. Their life was going
great until her high school sweetheart came in the picture; he hated the fact of seeing her with another
man. Tony takes it to another level by getting her pregnant to make her cut off the friendship with her
ex. One day he find out that she sleeps with him while she’s pregnant with his baby which lead him to
killing her and their precious seed.

A big black figure ran across my apartment as the sun crept through the darkness of my room. Hell I was
used to it by now; the rats damn near took over the whole building. I reached across from me to see if
Ray was still there. She was gone, but she left me some money on the night stand so I could pay the light
bill, but I already had plans to take Kayla to the movies and do a little shopping. I could never stay
faithful to a woman because I had to much trust issues, so I play them, tell them things they wanted to
hear and I get the benefits. I mean, don’t get me wrong but love don’t exist, it’s just a game. You get
hurt then move on to the next one, it’s like a cycle and goes on forever. My thoughts were interrupted
by the phone ringing.

“Marcus, are you still taking me to lunch”

“What time do you go to lunch Kourtney?”

“In thirty minutes”

“You should have warned me ahead of time, I got to take mom’s to work”

“You never have time for me anymore”

“How bout I check my schedule and take you out next week

She laughed hysterically

“What’s so funny?

“Marcus since when did you get a job?

“When you heard this dial tone.

I slammed the phone down and hopped in the shower and a few minutes later I was at
my mom’s. Mama was in the kitchen cooking something as usual. I tried to sneak up on her but she was
the kind of mom that knew everything that was going on before you could even manage to get the
words out.

“Boy sit down and get sum to eat.

She placed the hot plate in front of me and stared at me long and hard.

“Did I do something wrong

“Marcus when are you going to settle down and stop running around with these fast tail helfas, Rose
tell me she see you with a different girl every day.”

“Mrs. Rose is so damn nosy”

I muttered as I stuffed my mouth with some more grits`

“Watch your mouth in my house boy, and answer my question”

“Mama, I don’t know these females not on nothing.

“Where you get your shoes from, Marcus you don’t have a job and you barely pay your bills.

“I’m not getting kicked out any time soon, I pay my bills.

“What? You got a roommate??

“No

She stared at me again

“You using all these women negotiate. I listen to their problems and I give them what they want. We’re
not using each other; it’s just how the games go.

“Boy!! What game? You breaking these women off with what you got and what you were blessed with,
for money?? Marcus, you’re twenty-six years old, baby you aren’t getting any younger and these women
are not going to pick you up every time you make a downfall. I did not raise you this way, found a job
and get your act together.”

I had to get out of there before she said anything else, I don’t get me wrong she was right, but I
had my mind was on other things like taking Kayla to the movies and hopefully getting some money out
of her.

“Don’t walk away from me, answer me when I’m talking to you boy”

“Ma Got to go, I’m going to catch you later.

“Kylie wake up”

Chauncey screamed for the third time as she banged on the door. Kylie had just been home for three
hours from a tour from Europe; she stumbled to the door and wrapped herself in a blanket on the
couch.

“Girl get up, we going out for brunch

“Go on without me
She muffled between the sheets. Chauncey snatched the cover off her, and dragged her to the
bathroom.

“Breakfast will be ready when you get out

“Ugh, don’t you have a family.

Chauncey put her hands on her hips and gave her a weird look.

“Don’t you need a family?”

Kylie shut the door in her face

“Go Home!”

Chauncey was like a big sister to her. They had met in high school and have been friends every
since. Kylie had no other siblings, well none that she knows of. All she remembers is being brought up in
a group home with a bunch of other kids she left when she turned eighteen and never looked back. She
outgrew her loneliness and buried her mysteries with her new life as a singer and fulfilled them with her
new music and fans.

“Hurry up, your food is getting cold”

“Dang, let me put on my clothes first”

Kylie opened the door and a breeze of hot air whipped by Chauncey.

“Ugh, you’re going to mess up my hair” she said combing through it lightly to make sure her hair was still
straightened nicely.

“You have too many complications for me. I can just imagine what Tony goes through”

Chauncey and Tony have been married for six months now. They only had been dating eight
months. I deep down thought that there was something seriously wrong with that. He had a very
astonishing reputation, but why give it up to become on a reality show that and not even put in the
effort to win., then on top of that didn’t have a job and throughout the whole relationship Chauncey
was taking care of him. He was only there for the publicity, her family had warned her multiple times but
she still couldn’t see she was distracted by his charming looks and personality.

“He loves everything about me”

“Yea I bet”

What’s that suppose to mean?”

“Nothing, I’m happy for you.”

 She blushed and rushed me to eat my breakfast so we could meet Gail at the spa. I threw away
my breakfast and we headed to the spa.

“So kylie do you have a special someone in your life now” her friends teased. She gave them a sarcastic
look

“No” I replied in the most ignorant manner.

“Stop picking on her every one of us had to wait for that special one to come around, Kylie has
somebody out there” Gail exclaimed.

“Dang, we just kidding”

Chauncey stirred her daiquiri

“How bout we send you on a blind date”

“Oh no, I’ve seen the outcome of that.”

“Come on Kylie try, Clark had plenty if friends at the firm”

“Gail, Thank you, but I’m not up for dating no senior citizen that takes Viagra to keep em up. I want
somebody normal, educated, and charming. I want somebody that’s not really interested in what they
see on TV but the real me.”

“Aww”

Chauncey said as she got a napkin to wipe the playful tears off her face.

“Yal are full of it”

“Well I got a big friend in my dresser that probably needs your help”

“Who’s your friend?”

Kylie said between sips of her tea.

“A friend that can send sweet sensations through that tight tunnel of yours.”

There was a loud eruption of laughter that exploded from the three women.

“That’s so not funny!”

“But for real, let’s be serious, when was the last time you got some?”
Kylie thought for a minute and replied.

“It’s going on two years now

Kylie cell phone rung and Chauncey snatched it out of her hand before she could answer it.

“You’re on vacation, you just got off tour for god’s sake, tell him to give you a break”

“That could have been an important business call or an invitation”

“Well….In that case, call him back and see what’s sup”

Kylie quickly called Malcolm back and learned that she had an interview with in styles
magazine in New York. Chauncey and Gail were engaged in a conversation of their own. A few minutes
later I was off the phone. Gail and Chauncey were giving me a funny look.

“No, I already know what you’re thinking.”

“Come on Kylie, it would be fun, Tony was raised down there it would be good for us to see his family,
please?”

“Ok, but its Tuesday, so we’ll leave tomorrow morning.”

We talked a while more, and then Gail had to take the kids to piano lessons.
Chauncey was talking on the phone caking with tony about what they were going to do tonight. Me, on
the other hand wouldn’t have any romance time, it was just strictly business. I mean it wasn’t hard for
me to find somebody, there were a lot of men that are attracted to me, I just wanted something
different, outside of Hollywood.

Marcus T
“So what movie do you want to watch?”

“It really don’t matter, I just wanted to spend time with you”

Kayla said as she pulled him closer, Marcus grabbed her ass and began kissing
on her neck.

“We’re getting a lot of attention”

Kayla said as she wiped the remaining lip stick off his lips.

I don’t know what it was, but there was something about Kayla. Every time we
were together it was like nothing else mattered. We’d been dating for half a year now but it was on the
low. Even though she’s married to a rich stock-broker., her money was one thing, but her personality
and style was another.
“I want to watch the devil’s den”

Marcus looked at her as if she was crazy.

“You know that was a scary movie right”

“Duh, What? Are you scared?

He gave her a defiant look, paid for the tickets, and they hurriedly walked in the theater.
After, the movie they headed back to Marcus apartment. When they entered the lights were off.

“Damn, I forgot to pay the light bill”.

Marcus shouted as he disappeared into the hall to find some candles.

“Its ok sweetie.”

Kayla said as she took out an envelope and put it on his dining room table. She walked
quietly around the darkness searching for Marcus; she saw a dim light that seeped through his room.
She quietly opened the door and seen Marcus shirtless looking out the window. She snuck behind him.

“You left me”

She said as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

“I’m sorry bay, I was busy looking for some candles, then I heard something outside.

“Are you ok?”

He held her closely.

“Yes, you made me feel a lot better”

He kissed her thoroughly as they made their way to the bed; Kayla broke the kiss as she
stared into his big brown eyes.

“What? Did I do something wrong.”

“No...”

“Then what is it?”

“Marcus I want out.”

He got up and paced across the room

“What do you mean, you want out?

“I mean I’m falling in love with you; I just want to leave everything”
He sat down on the bed and took a deep breath.

“I’m falling in love with you too, just think about it. He can take everything from you and leave
you with nothing.”

‘I don’t care’

“Well I do, I’m not man enough for you, I could barely take care of myself.”

She got up and stood in front of hi.

“Nun of that matters as long as we got each other right?”

Marcus got quiet and started pacing around the room, her phone rung and he left out the room.
About five minutes later she appeared in the living room with her jacket.

“I’ll catch you later”

She moved in for a kiss but I refused. She left and that was that. I made my way to the kitchen, I
needed a drink. I stopped in my tracks as I looked at the envelope with hundred dollar bills falling out
the seam. I took the cash out and began counting it. It was five thousand dollars. I tool the wad of cash
and put it in my wallet.

“Shit forget the drink. Uma go to sleep and think about what uma do tomorrow.

“What you going to New York for?

Tony yelled from the shower.

“So we could just have fun and spend time with Kylie, and I was thinking we could spend time with your
family since we haven’t seen them in almost a year.

The water turned off and Tony entered the room in silence.

“Did you hear me?”

“Yes, I heard you, but I don’t want to be bothered with them people”

“Those people are your family”

“I already know what they think of our relationship, they only talk to you because you’re famous”

She gave him a whatever look and playfully smacked him in the mouth.
“You don’t remember the time they stole your phone calling people asking them if they wanted to give
them a better life”

Chauncey chuckled and handed him a bottle of lotion. She out her legs over his.

“They’re just kids’ baby”

“I don’t care; people already think that you’re too good for me, I don’t want to loose you over that.”

“Aww baby you’re not going to loose me, till death do us part right?”

“Yea”
