WhAT IS MARKET?

A market is a place where an exchange of either a


product or a service is done. If it is a servce, the service is provider receives
money in return of such a service but if it is a product offered the owner equally
receive money in return of his or product given out thus market is said to take
place when two or more people exchange one thing for another thing.

With respect to the above business plan, target market in the transport
business will be segmented into children, adults, elderly men, women and
students. The transport business target mostly adults who are either travelling for
business purposes or studies and so every form of advertisement will be design to
attract mostly this adult population. Less emphasis will be laid on children as they
are too tender and have no issues to solve so as to be travelling from one place to
another and the elderly are equally tired and will one to always rest in one place
hence no need for travelling.

Also during holidays period, the transport business will be more student
inclined as many students will be travelling in and out town to visit parents and as
such move advertisement will done in favour of students such as putting in buses
what student like so as to attract them and have a high market for the period.

Market Analysis: To penetrate the business, a good knowledge on feasibility


study will be done. This is to enable my own agency know how the manage cost
and raise income, how to hire good drivers to attract passengers, know the
existing agencies their strength so as to put forth greater attractive things to
outright them, their weaknesses so at to take advantage of such and gain a bigger
market.

Competitor Analysis: To win a greater market the transport business with repect
to existing agencies, first the price from one town to another will made to be
lower than those of others so as to dominant the market, also beverages like
juice, café and hamburger will be given to everyone on board.again expert will be
put in place for loading so as to leave on time and avoid delays that other
agencies may be having. All the above means of penetrating the market will be
communicated to all passengers through advertisement to create awareness and
attract customers.
Again attractive advert will be made in radio, television and fliers with captivating
words explaining every service offered so well that will make everyone prefer
mine to those of others.

Organization structure: Here the organizational structured will be defined as


fellow so as to avoid confusion of functions and responsibilities among staff which
can reduce output.

The Director -the management department -marketing manager- finance


department the human resource-the repair department, the luggage department.

The director oversees the running of the agency being above all the management
team, he is therefore the final decision making body. the management team has a
manager who approve any decision from a subordinate before channeling to the
director before execution. The marketing manager design marketing strategies for
implantation to raise income for the agency. The human resource employs good
drivers and other qualified workers who will add income in the business. The
finance department handles all income of payment of travelling ticket and
luggage and parcel sending fee and allocate income for advertisement, beverages
and repairs. The repair department constitutes expert who will always be
available for any repair work.

The Marketing Plan: Here a marketing expert will be employed to design


advertisement strategies above those of their competitors. Methods such as
reduce prices, beverages and café will be provided to passengers to attract many
of them and this marketing plan will be made available to every one through radio
television speaker promotions in cars and marketing agents distributing fliers in
markets, streets and crowded areas.

Manufacturing plan: Since it is a service business, meetings will frequently be


held to communicate new strategies to all workers, ensure that they all
implement them and compared the results to see which service generate more
income to the business so as to improve on their quality of services provided
