REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

Local Literature

The following information was from local literature and the scope of
each detailed articles is somehow related to the proposed study.

In the article made by Luyt, B. and Pang, N. (2015), “For the

Record: Document and Record Sensibilities of Art Conservators in the
Philippines”, the use of documents by a small group of art conservators
in the Philippines. Documents are important for these conservators, but
not just, or even primarily, for their role as memory devices. Also
important are the functions they play in creating a sense of professional
identity, for mediating the tensions created by a bureaucratically
structured workplace and an occupation traditionally organized around
notions of craftsmanship, and as creators of persuasive evidence for
clients.

As stated by Canlas, F. (2015), the Reliability of Health

Information”, an electronic health recording systems help generate
quality health data. The use of electronic patient record database
improves the efficiency of the clinic. It decreases the time waited by
patient during consultations at the clinic. Decreasing health/patient
information recording, compiling, and reporting by clinician and
increasing number of patients accommodated at the clinic over time.
Result of the research also claims that use of an HER generates and
improves access to higher quality health data.

Within the article made by Yap (2012), “GSIS WAPs Desktop Kiosk
in University of the Philippines, Quezon City”, even though computer
usage may seem very intuitive to almost everyone, they have minimum
usability requirement for computer usage is its major hindrance.

According to an article written by Abadiano, M. (2012), “Human

Resources Information System for the University of Cebu”, the
research paper has the aim to provide solutions to the dilemma of the
manual human resources system recently used by the University of
Cebu which is very slow in processing the request and inquiries. The
proposed system will enable faculty and staff to transact queries faster
in the database server and automatically they will be able to obtain
information that they need, and make necessary update. A descriptive
method was used and questionnaires were distributed and later
tabulated to determine the needs of a human resources information
system for a human resources information system for the University of
Cebu. Majority of the respondents agreed that there is a need for a
human resources information system to make their transactions hassle
free and convenient. These respondents are simulated for the
implementation of the project.

Hence, the article of Mojares (2010), “Teaching Strategies in

English: The Case of Batangas State University – Malvar, Philippines”,
the research was sought answers on profile, teaching strategies and its
pedagogical implications to the teaching of English. Results showed that
lecture method and brainstorming were most often used and profile of
the respondents had significant relationship to the strategies used. The
pedagogical implications to the teaching of English were: the
employment of various kinds of teaching strategies was a big factor to
make the teaching and learning process harmonious. It has been found
out that age, educational attainment and number of years in teaching
have something to do with the extent of use of different teaching
strategies in English. It was recommended that school administration
should encourage teachers to pursue further studies on their field of
specialization for personal, social and professional growth through
which they can use inside the classroom. Seminars, workshops, and in-
service trainings should be provided to uplift teachers' competencies
and performance in teaching.
