If I’ll be in that situation, personally I will not promise to give my first month salary in
exchange for the position because in the first place this is against my will and against
the law as far as I know. Teaching is one of the noblest professions, therefore, teachers
should show and apply what is just and fair, the credibility of a person should be intact
at all means every time. I will tell directly to the district supervisor that I will apply for a
teaching position passing through the proper screening and following the correct
guidelines issued by the Department of Education, I will tell the district supervisor that I
am very much willing to go over the hardships of screening or ranking for the position
that I am applying for. Willing to wait patiently for the results of my hardships and
sacrifices because I believe that success is sweetest if you put labor of love and
sacrifices on it not by just bribing the higher ups just to get the position you desire. Aside
from that, nowadays applying for such positions is division wide, meaning applicants will
apply to the Division Office and it’s the Division Office who will evaluate potential
teachers for such position.

2. A professional teacher is an actor in a way you deliver your lessons, you have to change
your facial expressions, gestures, tone of your voices, you seem like always on the stage
every time you teach, you are a performer so that students will always be interested to
your discussions and to catch their attention. The teacher is still the best visual aid.

A doctor and a nurse simply because it is inevitable that some students are not feeling
well in the school or during class hours, the teacher must know how to give first aid
treatment to the students specially if the school is far flung, if it is far from the hospitals.
Teachers tend to identify the cause of such sickness, and give necessary treatment to
relieve the students for the mean time. Nowadays, the Department of Health ties up
with the Department of Education in the conduct of their programs, like deworming,
vaccinations, giving vitamins like WIFA for the students. Aside from that teachers are
now knowledgeable in getting Body Mass Index (BMI), body temperature and getting
blood pressures of the students and teachers as well and interprets results. That why
teachers perform the role of the doctor, nurse and an actor.

3. Doing research is one way to improve the skills of a teacher, this an indication of his/her
professional growth that is why research is encouraged to all the teachers. Studies shows
that doing researches is the best way to improve the quality of education in the
Philippines because we tend to find solutions to the existing problems that we encounter
in the teaching-learning process in our own classrooms. Even the government supports
and funded some of the researches of the teacher the so called BERF. Now, if the
research is inimical or unfriendly to the state the teacher may not insist to the state to
adopt his/her research but this is not the cause of not making research again. The
teacher should be open-minded with regard to this, we do research for study and
improvement purposes and not to counteract with the existing programs and policies
of the state. It will be good if somebody from the state will appreciate the results of your
research if not then be it. As teachers, we have to know our boundaries, take note we
need to collaborate and work hand-in-hand with the state for improvements
