Rather than seeing it in a negative way like the other answers, I will be optimistic about your vague
situation. It means he is being REALISTIC with you. He is obviously aware that plans rarely go as they
should. Even though someone has intentions of doing the right thing sometimes life can mess everything
up that you are trying to do. This also means he is being honest and up front with you. He understands
that emotions are fleeting. Lust can turn to love then to jealousy and then to hatred until you just end up
with another failed relationship. I'd rather have someone tell me from the beginning that they can't
promise me anything about the future than fill my head with false hopes and lies. I say that you get to
know the guy more and find out the reasons as to why he thinks the way he does. You could have a very
rare catch ie an honest person who will not treat you wrong.
