I could continue to bear the pain of rejection,

for the journey, we prevailed and became a city.

If we continue to work together, we'll all be

proud of the collective work that it takes
to move our city forward for now and for

Ghost, princesses and superheroes attended DeKalb County Department
of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Halloween-related events.
The festivities started Oct. 26 and lasted through Halloween. Many of
the events were free to the public and included face painting, movies, games
and costume contests.
Despite a few rain drops, DeKalb hosted its first pair of events at
Lithonia at Redan Recreation Center and Lucious Sanders Recreation
Center on Oct. 26.
Portia Perry, recreations center supervisor at Redan Recreation Center,
said the events are great for DeKalb residents and community members.
“This is just something fun for the whole community. At the same time,
we get to showcase some of the programs we offer,” Perry said. “We just
want everyone to celebrate and have a great time.”
