Sub: RECRUITMENT –Recruitment to the post of Traffic Supervisor (Trainee)

/ Mechanical supervisor (Trainee)- Applications called for from eligible
Departmental candidates – Regarding.

Applications are invited On-line through APSRTC WEBSITE www.apsrtc.gov.in
and http://apsrtc.cgg.gov.in from eligible Departmental candidates for Recruitment to
the posts of Traffic Supervisor (Trainee) / Mechanical Supervisor (Trainee). The
qualifications and other eligibility criteria prescribed are as follows.

The departmental candidates have to apply ON-LINE only and application in any
other form will not be entertained.

2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

i) Traffic Supervisor (Trainee): The candidate must be a Graduate from a

Recognised University.
ii) Mechanical Supervisor (Trainee): The candidate must have passed the
Diploma in Automobile Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering
(DME) examination , conducted by the Department of Technical
Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh or its equivalent qualifications
in the same discipline (i.e., Automobile / Mechanical) as recognised by
Department of Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Candidates possessing higher qualifications of BE/B.Tech/AMIE in the

discipline of Automobile / Mechanical Engineering are also eligible.

3. AGE: The candidates must not be below 18 years of age and above 25 years of
age as on 1.7.2010.

Age Relaxation:
a) By 5 years in respect of SC/ST/BC candidates.
b) In addition to the above, in-service employees belonging to
SC/ST/BC categories are given age relaxation to the extent of
entire service rendered in the Corporation on regular basis, for the
purpose of maximum age limit prescribed for the post, subject to
the condition that on allowing this concession the age of the
employee should not exceed 45 years.
 That is to say that the regular service rendered in the Corporation as on
23.11.2010(Last date for submission of On-line application) should be
deducted from the age of the candidate as on 1.7.2010. After this
deduction, if the age of the candidate falls within 30 years, the candidate is
eligible. If it exceeds 30 years, the candidate becomes overaged and gets
rejected automatically.

c) Employees other than those of SC/ST/BC categories are given age

relaxation up to a maximum of 10 years regular service rendered in the
Corporation for the purpose of maximum age limit prescribed for the post.
That is to say that the regular service rendered in the Corporation as on
23.11.2010 (Last date for submission of On-line application) should be
deducted from the age of the candidate as on 1.7.2010. After this
deduction, if the age of the candidate falls within 25 years, the candidate is
eligible, if it exceeds 25 years, the candidate becomes overaged and gets
rejected automatically.

NOTE:PHC CANDIDATES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE

POSTS OF TST/MST.

Note: The number of posts mentioned above are only provisional and are subject
to increase or decrease.

5. RESERVATIONS: The category – wise breakup of the total vacancies as per

communal reservation is shown in the Annexure to this Notification.

Note: Reservation for BC-E group will be subject to adjudication of the

litigation pending before the Hon’ble Courts and Government orders from
time to time.
6. BASIC ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA FOR DEPARTMENTAL CANDIDATES

Employees who are working on regular basis, working under Regulation

17 of APSRTC Employees’ (Recruitment) Regulations, in time scale of
pay and Casual / Contract Employees (selected by regular Departmental
Selection Committee but appointed on Casual / Contract basis) who have
put in one year of service and completed 240 working days as on
23.11.2010 (i.e., the last date of submission of applications) are eligible to
apply.

7. HOW TO APPLY:

Detailed notification with break-up of vacancies, Scale of pay, Age, Community,

Educational Qualifications and other instructions along with syllabus for the written
examination may be viewed at APSRTC Website (www.apsrtc.gov.in) and
http://apsrtc.cgg.gov.in from 01.11.2010.

a. The applicants are required to go through the detailed notification and decide
themselves as to their eligibility for this recruitment carefully before applying and
enter the particulars completely online.
b. Fee: Each applicant must pay Rs.175/- (Rupees one hundred and seventy five
only) towards Application Fee.
c. MODE OF PAYMENT OF FEE: The Applicant should pay the prescribed fee
as per the notification in any one of the A.P. Online centers and obtain Fee paid
receipt with Journal Number (12 digit) in the first instance.
d. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION: After payment of Fee, the candidates has
to logon to the website http://www.apsrtc.gov.in and click on APPLY
ONLINE link or directly visit http://apsrtc.cgg.gov.in to view the detailed
notification, User guide and Application form. The applicants have to invariably
fill all the relevant fields in the Application. Immediately on submission of
application the Applicant will get an acknowledgement in the form of a
downloadable PDF document.
e. Candidates have to submit application only through online mode well in advance
of the last date to avoid last day rush.
f. Hand written/typed/Photostat copies/printed application form will not be
entertained by APSRTC by post or in person.
g. Employees disengaged / kept away from duty (put off duty) for involvement in
mis-conduct / under suspension are not eligible to apply as departmental
candidates. However, they can apply against 90% External vacancies if they are
within the prescribed age limit. They are not entitled for deducting their regular
service from their age for the purpose of maximum age limit.
8. IMPORTANT DATES:

Starting date for payment of Fee at AP ONLINE centre : 01.11.2010.

Starting date for filling and uploading ONLINE application : 02.11.2010.

Last date for payment of Fee at AP Online : 20.11.2010 up to 5.00 P.M.

Last date for filling on-line Application : 23.11.2010 up to 5.00 P.M.

9. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIATE:

The departmental candidate after filling the on-line application shall submit the
same and download 2 copies of the pdf document. One copy shall be submitted to the
Unit Officer immediately who shall verify the details in the document certify and send
the same to the Recruitment wing at Head Office with signature and Office seal.

Candidates not adhering to the above procedure shall forego the benefits prescribed
and may lead to disqualification for the exam.

10. INSTRUCTIONS TO THE UNIT OFFICER:

The following instructions are issued for strict compliance by the Unit Officer.

- The departmental candidates also have to apply ONLINE only. After

applying ONLINE the employee has to take a printout of the filled in
application (PDF document) and submit the same immediately to the Unit
Officer.
- The Unit Officer shall get the particulars verified, certify then for their
correctness and affix signature and office seal on the document, keep one
copy with him and forward one copy to Dy. CPM (Rect), Head Office
within 2 days.

Unit Officers are requested to give wide publicity to this Notification duly
exhibiting Xerox copies of this Notification on the Notice Boards.
