Overhead Distribution Cutouts

Product Description Application Options


– Distribution cutout for use on overhead – Provides visible indication of fuse – Porcelain, silicone rubber
distribution system to provide operation and a visible break (110 -180 kV BIL), or polymer
overcurrent protection sectionalizing point for maintenance concrete insulator (110 &
– Fusetube interchangeable with S&C Type personnel 125 kV BIL)
XS, Cooper Type L, and AB Chance – Can function as a loadbreak switch –  Stainless steel seacoast design
Type C cutouts when used in conjunction with a –  Cutout/arrester combination

Type ICX
– Distribution cutout for use on overhead – Provides overcurrent protection for – Porcelain, silicone rubber

–  Indoor, 600 V current limiting – Individual unit fusing of low voltage single and three-phase

Type CLN
–  Indoor, 1.2 – 4.3 kV current limiting – Individual unit fusing of low voltage single and three-phase
– 1200, 1800, and 3000 V ratings are current limiting, capacitors in metal enclosed equipment
indicating, and non-disconnecting
– 2500 V and 4.3/2.5 kV ratings are current limiting,
non-indicating, and non-disconnecting
Type CLC
–  Indoor, 2.8 - 23 kV current limiting and expulsion Two part design:
– Rated current: 6 - 65 - H igh current section interrupts high 60 Hz fault currents and/or
high frequency discharge current from parallel capacitors
- L ow voltage sections consist of a standard NEMA type K

– Single insulator disconnect with a double – Single-phase disconnect on overhead – Porcelain, polymer concrete, or
blade door and two 2-hole extended distribution feeders and in outdoor silicone rubber insulator

– 15 kV – 38 kV, 600 or 900 A continuous – Can be mounted like a standard cutout – Mounting kit available

Type SID
– Loadbreak single insulator disconnect – Single-phase disconnect on overhead – Porcelain, polymer concrete, or
with self-contained loadbreak distribution feeders and in outdoor silicone rubber insulator
capabilities, a double blade door, and distribution substations (110 - 170 kV BIL)
two 2-hole NEMA pad terminals – Self-contained loadbreak enables – Mounting kit available
– 15.5 kV – 15/27 kV, 600 A continuous lineman to interrupt load current with a –  90° or 160° blade stop available
and loadbreak with a 40 kA momentary hookstick
rating – Can be mounted like a standard cutout

Type LSID
– Double insulator single-phase disconnect – Loadbreak tool-operated switch used – Porcelain or silicone rubber
switch for sectionalizing or isolating equipment insulator (110 - 150 kV BIL)
