A Strategic Plan for Galam Music Lounge

I. INTRODUCTION
Galam Music Lounge started in year 2005 where the owner, Winston Galam
decided to start up a business that would sustain a 24-hour operation. It is located in
Corner Seriña-Villiarin Sts. Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. The business is known as a
place where people hang out and have their quality time with friends or with family. Galam
serves a wide variety of food choices and also serves great choices of alcoholic and non
alcoholic beverages. As it is also a place where families and groups of friends can bond,
Galam also caters luxurious, fully air conditioned rooms with cozy atmosphere, wide
variety of movies in 3D, a game room available for kids and kids at heart and a High
Definition KTV System with Updated Videoke Music List.

Galam presents well maintained and excellent services for their customers. The
facilities are very well taken care of and monitored by the family members and staff.
People are satisfied with the kind of service that Galam caters because the business
always makes sure that the needs of their customers are achieved and that the customers
are satisfied. People do not only go there because of the ktv system, food, and the
services that are being catered but also because of the ambiance, safety, and the comfort
of the place.

Mission and Vision

The mission of the company is to employ more people and help the government
lessen unemployment in order to give the unemployed a chance to have a job and to be
trained.
The vision of the company is to make Galam Music Lounge a singing institution of
Cagayan de Oro City.

II. Interview

The owner went in and decided to start a family KTV which started at about 50
pesos per hour. Rooms are in a different rate per hour. There are 2 rooms with 550 pesos
per hour, 2 rooms with 350 pesos per hour, and 1 room each for 250 pesos and 100
pesos per hour having 8 PM to 5 AM as their peak hours. Social media is used in order
for them to promote their business. Aside from a KTV lounge,they also have a restaurant
and they offer catering services. Their target sales per month is P 490,000 since they
have other services offered.

There are challenges that the business encounters. First, the location because it
is a flood-prone area and also, government authorities do not take action in improving
and monitoring the drainage system. Second, the parking space for the customers and
lastly, the slow service during dinner hours because of the lack of workers.

Galam Music Lounge would want to expand in different locations in Cagayan de


Oro City. The business is slowly expanding their business and constructing a new KTV
Bar located in Corrales, Ave and they are also planning to add one more in different
locations in the City.
