Instructions for Telling Fortunes with Zolar’s Astrological

Fortune Telling Cards

First shuffle the cards thoroughly and make a Silent Wish, place the deck on the
table and cut the cards into three piles with the left hand. Then stack into one pile.

Pick up the deck and deal, faces up, (starting with the upper left hand corner) in
three rows of four cards each. Then in the same manner, place one card from the
pack on each of the cards already dealt out, as per diagram

The remaining eight cards may now be set aside, as you have no further use for
them. You are now ready to start the first step in reading your Fortune.

(IF THE RED MARS APPEARS IN THE LAYOUT, YOUR WISHES WILL COME TRUE!)

Note: If the Red Mars should appear with your Sign of the Zodiac or the Sign of the
Person for whom you are reading, it indicates the receipt of some very good news in
the immediate future.

On the other hand, if the BLACK MARS appears with your sign of the Zodiac, it is a
warning to avoid extravagant urges and all speculative ventures during the
following week.

To start reading the Cards, begin with the two Cards in the upper left hand corner.
Be sure to replace each two cards in their original position as you will have further
use for them. Combine the readings of each two cards where plausible. Otherwise,
read the Cards separately.

Example: if the FAVORABLE SUN, which “denotes good health or a speedy recovery
from illness”, should appear with the LIBRA card which reads “receipt of a letter or
message,” you would interpret these two cards to mean, “The receipt of a letter or
message telling about a speedy recovery of someone who has been ill.” However,
should the FAVORABLE SUN which “denotes a considerable sum of money or the
receipt of a costly gift” appear with the Scorpio Card, you should interpret each card
separately, as follows, “You are about to receive a costly gift or perhaps a
considerable sum of money and you will hear about the speedy recovery of
someone who has been ill.

As another example, we will take the UNFAVORABLE MOON which “denotes gossip,
slander or intrigue – beware of jealous friends” appearing with the Aquarius Card
which “indicates an unexpected journey or the renewal of a friendship.” In order to
combine these readings, you could say, “that the person is about to take an
unexpected journey and on this trip, they should beware of jealous friends and
avoid doing anything that may cause gossip or slander.”

Since the Aquarius card also denotes, “the renewal of friendship,” and the
UNFAVORABLE MOON also tells one “to beware of jealous friends or intrigue” this
can also be interpreted as follows: “You are going to renew a friendship that may
cause some jealousy, gossip or slander. It is therefore advisable to be on your
guard against intrigue.”

By carefully studying the meanings of the various Cards, you can readily learn to
combine their interpretation into an interesting and comprehensive reading.

After you have read the twenty-four cards and their meanings, you have completed
the first part of the fortune.

NOW YOU ARE READY TO START THE SECOND PART OF THE READING

Place each two cards in the layout, directly on top of each other. Look at the 12
cards on the upper pile and see if there are any of the same planets side by side.
For example, a Black Sun beside a Red Sun, or a Black Moon beside a Red Moon,
etc.

THE PRINTED MATTER ON THE CARDS IS NOW IGNORED

The following table is the literal meanings of the Planets, appearing side by side,
either horizontally or Perpendicular:

MOONS: Side by side mean radical changes in the home.

SUNS: Side by side: dealings with lawyers, legal matters or officers of the law.
VENUS: Side by side: New friendships or associations.
MERCURY: Side by side: Change of Affection.
JUPITER: Side by side: Change of location or environment for the better.
MARS: Side by side: Change of business or financial conditions.
URANUS: Side by side: Unexpected news from afar.
SATURN: Side by side: A trip to another state.
NEPTUNE: Side by side: Change in personal plans coming as a sudden surprise.
PLUTO: Side by side: Secret or unexpected radical changes.
After you have read the predictions of the planets appearing side by side on the top
pile, remove the top twelve cards and note what planets appear side by side on the
bottom twelve cards, and interpret their meanings accordingly.

This completes the second part of the reading.

NOTE: The same cards appearing on top of each other are not considered side by
side.

Now you may separate all the GREEN, RED and BLACK cards in the layout.

If you have seven or more Red Cards, this indicates that your future hopes,
ambitions, or romantic affairs are favorably aspected.

If you have seven or more Green Cards, this indicates that you can expect
improvement in your financial affairs.

If you have five or less Black Cards, this indicates that your domestic or personal
difficulties will soon be overcome.

If you have five or more Black Cards it is a warning to guard against emotional
upsets and domestic arguments.

This completes the Fortune. With a little practice, you will learn how to interpret the
different combinations of cards (so you can give an intelligent reading.)

DO NOT READ CARDS FOR THE SAME PERSON MORE THAN ONCE IN TWENTY FOUR
HOURS.

LUCKY NUMBERS: If you desire to ascertain a set of Lucky Numbers, shuffle and cut
the cards three times as instructed. Deal off as many Cards as you desire numbers.
Lucky Numbers appear on each card.
