The Fall of Man and His Redemption

Tutorial 1

Main scripture reference 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.

God’s power is working today in supernatural and miraculous ways in the lives of people
all over the World. The Ministry of Jesus Christ could be summed up in His own words
to the disciples of John the Baptist found in Matthew Chapter eleven verses four and five:

4 “Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things which ye do
hear and see”:

5“The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf
hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them”.

The Greatest of all miracles is the “New Creation”. As a Christian, you need to
understand the great work of God that has taken place within yourself.

The fall of man away from God

God created man to have dominion on the earth.

Genesis chapter one, verse twenty eight says:

8 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and
replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over
the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Adam’s sin against God, caused mankind to become spiritually separated from God and
His blessings, so that Adam became subject to Satan, who thus became the ‘god’ of this
world.

Second Corinthians Chapter four and verse four says:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest
the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto
them.

1
The fall of Adam,(man), separated the place of innocence and intimacy with God our
Father and the result of this was ‘death’.

Ephesians chapter two verses one to three say:

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the
prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh,
fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of
wrath, even as others.

In Romans chapter five, verses twelve, thirteen and fourteen, we find that it says:

12Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin and so death
passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned
after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Satan could now rule over mankind and man had no way of saving himself .Forgiveness
of sins by man was not sufficient. Man now needed a new life and a new nature.

To achieve this, Satan had to be defeated and a way made for all mankind to be re-united
with God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, fully restored in fellowship once again
as it was with Adam, (man),before the fall.

The first letter of John chapter three verse eight says:

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this
purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Colossians Chapter two verse fifteen says:

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly,
triumphing over them in it.

2
The Redemption Plan

In Genesis chapter three verse fifteen we read:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her
seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Something interesting is said here, even as far back as the book of Genesis in the Old
Testament.

In this verse there is a reference to Christ. “it shall bruise thy head” refers to Christ Jesus
and His victory through redemption….’and you shall bruise his heel”….. refers to the
agony and suffering of Christ Jesus at the cross, to which man inflicted upon Him.

From the beginning, God had a redemption plan through, Jesus Christ, for man-kind,
already thought about.

That’s amazing!

Our Fathers’ great love for all mankind, made the way through the death and resurrection
of Jesus Christ for man to be restored to right-standing and fellowship with Him and to
once again restore to man-kind, dominion and authority in the earth.

In submitting Himself to death on the cross, Jesus triumphed over Satan. Through His
death, He destroyed him who had the power of death, Satan himself and his power over
mankind.

In Hebrews chapter two verse fourteen it says:

14 For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself
likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the
power of death, that is, the devil;

Jesus came to satisfy the claims of God the Father and His justice and thus to destroy the
works of the devil (Satan).

Romans chapter three verse twenty-three says:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

3
Romans chapter six verse twenty-three says:

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
our Lord.

God our Father is Holy and just and therefore, all our sin had to be punished. Christ Jesus
became sin for us, to pay the debt on our behalf, so that we could be re-united with our
Father in full fellowship.

First John chapter three verse one says:

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be
called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Jesus did not gain the victory for Himself, but He won it for us, to restore us to right-
standing with God our Father. Through his victory at the cross and His resurrection from
the dead, Christ Jesus has got for us the victory!
