11241 - The Philippine Occupational Therapy Law of 2018

DATE ENACTED: July 24, 2018

BACKGROUND: An Act Regulating the Registration, Licensure, and Practice of Occupational

Therapy, Providing Funds Therefor and for Other Related Purposes

PROHIBITED ACTS:

No person shall:

(a) Engage in the practice of occupational therapy by representing himself/herself as

an occupational therapist without a valid registration, professional license, or a valid
temporary/special permit granted by the Board pursuant to this Act;

(b) Represent to be an occupational therapist during the time that his/her

professional license is not valid or that his/her certificate of registration has been
suspended or revoked, or that his/her temporary/special permit has been cancelled;

(c) Allow anybody to use his/her certificate of registration and/or professional license
and/or temporary/special permit as an occupational therapist to enable such
unqualified individual to engage in the practice of occupational therapy;

(d) Use as his/her own the certificate of registration, professional license, or

temporary/special permit of another person; and

REPUBLIC ACT No. 11052 - PHILIPPINE FOOD TECHNOLOGY ACT

BACKGROUND: An Act Regulating the Practice of Food Technology in the Philippines,

Creating for the Purpose the Board of Food Technology and Appropriating Funds
Therefor

PROHIBITED ACTS:

It shall be unlawful for any person to:

 Practice or offer to practice food technology in the Philippines,

 Offer oneself as food technologist or advertise
 Indicate in any manner whatsoever as qualified to perform the work of food
technologist

EXCEPTION: If the person has satisfactorily passed the licensure examination given by
the Board, except as otherwise provided in this Act, and is a holder of a valid certificate
of registration and a valid professional license or a valid temporary or special permit duly
issued by the Board and the PRC
Other Prohibited Acts:

(a) Representing of one's self as a food technologist during the time that the professional
license is not valid, or that the certificate of registration has been suspended or revoked,
or that the temporary or special permit is cancelled;

(b) Allowing another person to use one's certificate of registration and/or professional
license or temporary or special permit as a food technologist to enable the other person
to engage in the practice of food technology; and

(c) Using the certificate of registration and/or professional license or temporary or special
permit of another food technologist.

REPUBLIC ACT No. 11229 - CHILD SAFETY IN MOTOR VEHICLES ACT

Backgroud: An Act Providing for the Special Protection of Child Passengers in

Motor Vehicles and Appropriating Funds Therefor

 Manufacturer
 Distributor

PROHIBITED ACTS:

It shall be unlawful to manufacture, use, import, sell, distribute, donate, lease, advertise,
promote, or otherwise market the use of substandard or expired child restraint system
