Firstly I am going to talk about some facts the Internet of Things, after that, I will be talking

about how it actually works, and finally, I will give you some examples for it. So, let's start.
What is the IoT? That is a concept that describes the idea of an everyday physical object
being connected t the internet and being able to identify themselves to the other devices. The
IoT is significant because an object that can represent itself digitally becomes something
greater than the object by itself. Because of the wireless network, it is possible to turn
anything into the part of IoT. Most people think about being connected in terms of computers,
tablets, and smartphones, but IoT describes the world where anything can be connected. In
the other words with the IoT, the physical world is becoming one big information system and
this includes everything from cellphones, coffee makers washing machines, headphones,
lamps, and a lot of other devices. The interesting thing is that this adds a level of digital
intelligence to devices, enable them to communicate without a human being involved. So,
let's take a look at how it actually works? Complete IoT system integrates four distinct
components: devices, connectivity, data processing, user interface. First, devices collect data
from the environment, and they must have the required hardware in order to communicate
with the internet. Connectivity, those data are sent to the cloud, but before that, it needs a
way to get there. Devices can be connected to the cloud through a variety of methods
including satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,low-power wide area network. Data processing: once the
data gets to the cloud, software processes it and then might decide to perform an action such
as sending an alert or automatically adjusting the devices without the need for the user. But if
the user input is needed or if the user simply wants to check in on the system, a user
interface allows them to do so. Depending on the IoT application, the user may also be able
to perform an action and affect the system. So finally, let's move on to some examples.
There are of course smart houses where is IoT quickly finds its application. Nest, a smart
thermostat is one of the most highly and popular piece of IoT. It learns your family's routines
and automatically adjusts the temperature based on who you are home or away, awake or
asleep, hot or cold, to make your house more efficient and comfortable. I am going to
conclude by saying that IoT is such a hot and interesting topic today. It gives us a lot of
opportunities, but also many challenges. I think that IoT will soon come into our lives, and
make them different so we should to balance and take advantage of the good point.
