During this laboratory the buffer solution was observed, both acidic and basic, it is a solution that
has the capacity to absorb large amounts of acids or bases without any change in its
hydrogen potential, that is, this solution contains substances that inhibit the changes in
the hydrogen of the solution to empirically determine the hydrogen potential of these
solutions at different concentrations. This practice was divided into two parts, in the first
part 20 ml of two solutions of acetic acid (CH3COOH) and sodium acetate (CH3COONa)
were taken, which were added in one Erlenmeyer and in another 15 ml of CH3COOH,
both containers were added 2 drops of the methyl orange indicator and their pH measured.
After this, 2 ml of HCl was added to each container and the pH was measured again. For
the second part, 50 ml of a solution of ammonia (NH3) and 0.486 g of ammonium chloride
(NH4Cl) were used, which were added to an Erlenmeyer, in another container 50 ml of
H2O and to another container were added to another container both containers took the
initial pH. Then, 2.5 ml of NaOH was added and the pH was measured again. Finally, the
initial pH and final pH of each solution were analyzed and purchased, and it was checked
that buffer solutions did buffer to keep the pH stable.

amortiguadoras o tampones.
CH3COONa (base conjugada)
• El pH de la sangre permanece
constante entre un margen de 7,3 y 7,5
