Norfolk County Council Privacy Notice
We have been asked by Norfolk county Council to advise you on how your child’s data is held
and used by the school. The privacy notice detailing this is available at
www.schools.norfolk.gov.uk/index.cfm. If you do not have access to the internet we have
copies of this document in the school office, please drop by and pick one up.
Switch off Fortnight – Eco Schools
As part of our Eco Schools activities for this year we are participating in “Switch Off
Fortnight” starting on Monday 22nd November. We have taken meter readings of the amount
of electricity we have used for the last fortnight and will compare that with the amount of
electricity we use in Switch Off Fortnight. We hope to show a significant reduction in the
amount of energy used and will be using this information in our application to become a Green
Flag school.
During Switch Off Fortnight we will be encouraging all adults and children to turn off all appliances and lights
that are not needed and not to leave anything on stand by. You could also try it at home, if you would like to
find out more visit www.jointhepod.org
Christmas Lunch
Your child will have brought home the Christmas Lunch menus today. If your child would like
to participate please return the slip with the correct money to the office by Friday 3rd
December. No orders can be taken after this date.
Dinner Money
We are being asked to make changes to the way that we administer dinner monies in school.
As a result we are requesting parents to support us in this change by booking and paying for
dinners on a Monday morning whenever possible. Money will still need to be in a sealed
envelope. Many thanks for your assistance in this matter.
Christmas Craft Afternoons
There is still time to complete the form and for children to stay and make Christmas crafts.
Children are invited to stay at school for an afternoon of craft activities. A drink and biscuit
will be provided for the children. The items the children make are then available for you to
purchase at the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 4th December. If you have not already
completed your form please return it as soon as possible. Additional forms are available in
the school office.
