The First Amendment is a document that secures several basic freedoms in the

United States including Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the

Press, The Right to Assemble and The Right to Petition the Government. The new
option to the Bill of Rights that was included in the Constitution on December 15, 1791.
The First Amendment is a three-part clause that guarantees not only press freedom, but
Freedom of Religion as well as the right to assemble and to “petition the government for
a redress of grievances.” This is otherwise called prior restraint which implies an
endeavor by the legislature to avoid the statement of thoughts before they are
distributed. The First Amendment incorporates Freedom of The Press which implies it is
utilized to keep the legislature from meddling with the dissemination of opinions and
conclusions. It enables everybody to one side to Freedom of Religion, Freedom of
Speech, Freedom of the Press, The Right to Assemble, and the privilege to Petition the
Government. The First Amendment likewise made that columnist have a constrained

The First Amendment allows me to be able to create video content and use my
Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Press to the best of my ability. I shoot and edit
video content for my own use everyday, so the First Amendment is something that I use
on a daily basis. I make videos for my own personal use that I sometimes upload to
youtube and other platforms. I abide by the First Amendment by being knowledgeable
of my rights. I will use the First Amendment almost everyday as I continue to produce
content for social media.

During my tenure at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, I

have worked on several different projects that required me to use the First Amendment.
I have shot and edited interviews. I have shot and edited stories and videos for The
Register, which is the official school newspaper. Also I have shot numerous of Youtube
videos.

Being involved in the A&T Register as a contributor, a part of the National

Society of Leadership and Success, and a part of Aggie News & Views as a member
are all organizations that allow me to use the First Amendment rights freely. With the
help of these organizations, I have learned to properly use my talents and express
myself freely while also learning the value of my rights and how to execute being a great
journalist and content creator.
