P R O P O S A L

I. Title: CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM FOR GRADE 11

II. Areas of Concern: School

III. Subject Clientele: Grade 11 Students

IV. Date: December 5, 2018 – February 27, 2019

V. Background and Description of the Activity:

The Career Guidance Program for Grade 11 helps to guide the students to choose
academic paths that will lead to lucrative, in-demand employment. The activities are
motivating, engaging, including group work, and interactive.
The program will equip Grade 11 students with the knowledge, skills and
confidence to pursue higher education in subjects that they choose based on their natural
affinities and the current demands of the Philippine and global economy. By integrating
more fully during their academic studies, these Grade 11 students will have greater chances
of pursuing careers in their fields of study.

VI. Objectives:
The activity aims to:
a. To help Grade 11 make decision choices involved planning a future and building a
career, or in choosing an occupation, preparing for it or entering it;
b. To assist the Grade 11 students to form valuable impressions and general understanding
about the world of work and workers to developed positive attitude relating to
occupation and the people who hold them, and to impress upon the students the
importance of learning about attitudes and of such values as promptness, regularity,
industry and smooth working relationship with others;
c. To facilitate student understanding of the many reasons of working, of many ways to
measure the value and worth of an occupation of the things which the peace in
satisfaction on one’s occupation depend, and on the factors that make a job well done;
d. To develop student awareness of the important relationships between academic studies
and their dim and distant occupation, to enable them see their school work as a form of
occupation and get them relate a chosen occupation to one’s total self, education,
knowledge skills and interest;
e. To select, collect and disseminate vocational information and occupational material to
seek occupational facts through media and other agencies to discriminate unreliable and
acceptable material, and to make these available to assist student make appropriate
decisions and choices;
f. To orient the students to the methods of locating and using available information
sources of the school and the community for the purpose obtaining, analysing and using
facts about job, job requirements and preparation, industries, work processes,
employment trends and opportunities qualification and remuneration, and other
pertinent information;
g. To stimulate students participation in circular and co-circular activities that are
essential aiding one’s entry into such wider activities in the community; and to make
way to encourage students to explore occupational interest to practical job experience
as part of educative process; and
h. To offer assistance to students in planning the job-seeking process, in finding
appropriate place in the world of work, in making choice consistent in one’s aptitude
and interest in achieving particular placement one desire to make and to follow him up
to offer any needed assistance in making unnecessary adjustment.
