Religare Technova Limited is the holding company for the IT business of a large diversified
Indian transnational business group. The group pursues aggressive business interests globally
in Financial Services (Religare Enterprises), Health Care (Fortis HealthCare), Wellness
(Religare Wellness, formerly Fortis HealthWorld), Diagnostics (Super Religare Laboratories,
formerly SRL Ranbaxy) and Aviation and Travel (Religare Voyages).
Taking their vision to build Religare as a globally trusted brand in the financial services
domain a step further, our CSR initiatives focus on sustainable community development that

INTRODUCTION
Management is the art of knowing what to do in the best and cheapest way. The best and
cheapest way, here, refers to the efficient utilisation of human, financial, physical and
information resources. In other words, a set of activities such as planning and decision
making, organising, leading and controlling are directed at an organisation’s resources with
the aim of achieving organisational goals in an efficient and effective manner.
New workplace issues and challenges play a significant role in a manager’s all round career
development. The handling of such issues and finding the precise and correct solutions to the
same differs from person to person. It is important that the manager has skills like decision
making, technical, mechanical, etc in order to achieve the set goals in a cost effective way.

Religare Technova Limited is the holding company for the IT business of a large diversified
Indian transnational business group. The group pursues aggressive business interests globally
in Financial Services (Religare Enterprises), Health Care (Fortis HealthCare), Wellness

The offerings of the company are divided into Products and Services. The Religare Technova
umbrella includes Religare Technova Global Solutions (formerly Asian CERC Information
Technology Ltd and Capital Market Solutions Pty Ltd), a global leader in providing
Enterprise Software Solutions to the Capital and Financial markets; Religare Technova IT
Services Limited, which provides Enterprise IT Solutions and Religare Technova Business
Intellect Ltd, which provides Knowledge Management Solutions.

Fortis Healthcare Limited, established in 1996 was founded on the vision of creating an

Religare Wellness Limited (formerly Fortis Healthworld) is one of the leading players in the

The group also operates in the domain of integrated Air Charter and Travel, anchored under
the holding company Religare Voyages Ltd. The Air Charter business is one of the largest in
the non-scheduled space in the country with its own top-of-the-line fleet that comprises jets,
helicopters and turbo props. The travel business is duly accredited for complete management
of both in-bound and out-bound domestic and international travel.

Taking the first step towards fulfilment of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Religare
Enterprises Ltd. has a tie up with SOS Children's village.
Religare' s children's initiative rolled out with a sponsorship for SOS Children's Villages of
India. While SOS Children's Villages of India creates the right environment for orphaned
children, they also get women with disturbed pasts rehabilitated as their "mothers." This
initiative not only offers shelter, education and healthcare, to the children and women but also
gives them a second chance to lead a normal life.
On the occasion of Children's Day and to formally flag off the CSR initiative, a painting

competition was held at the Religare arts, I gallery in Connaught Place for children from the
SOS Village. The painting competition was adjudged by celebrated painter, Anjolie Ela
Menon.
Launching the Religare CSR Initiative at the Religare Art Gallery, Mr, Subhrangshu Neogi,
Director, Brand and Corporate Communications, Religare Enterprises Limited, averred, "All
large corporates must take serious steps about giving back to the society and the ecosystem.
We in our own little way have taken the first baby steps in CSR and will continue to further
take such initiatives in the future as well."
Around 50 children painted their ambition to colors as the theme for the competition was - " I
aspire to be". The painting competition was adjudged by celebrated painter, Anjolie Ela
Menon who also presented a certificate of participation to each child.
Religare' s earlier initiative included their tie up with Give India Foundation wherein
employees could donate a part of their salaries to their pet cause, thereby doing their share for
society' s betterment.

Approximately 5000 children die every day in India, due to lack of amenities or nutrition.
And to rectify this dismal situation, Religare Enterprises Limited has partnered with SOS
Children’s Villages of India. At a time when India’s child mortality rate is one of the highest
in the world, Religare’s commitment to this initiative is strong and unwavering.
SOS Children’s Villages of India creates the right environment for orphaned children, where
they are looked after at “homes.” Each village has “homes” with 8-10 children, who stay
together like brothers and sisters, and they have a “mother” who looks after them as her own.
The children stay there till they complete their education, giving them and the mother a
loving family in return.
The employees’ initiative has already begun with Give India Foundation, where Employees
donate a part of their salaries to their pet cause, and contribute towards a better world.
Payroll Giving is a unique programme for corporate employees and organizations eager to
give back to society.
It is:
• when employees deduct a small part of their salary every month, which accumulates
and can then be donated to a cause of their choice. Employees can join this purely
voluntary programme for as little as Rs50 per month!
• very easy to use. Participants can do everything they need to right from the
convenience of their desks. GiveIndia ensures that every donor gets a beneficiary
report (within 4-6 months of making a donation) on how their money has been
utilized.

is going to be a disruptive technology that totally changes the way enterprises look to meet

Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS), as well as other trends in the IT sector that
use the Internet for delivering services to the end-user. This means that access to
infrastructure such as servers, software, and data center space or network equipment; a

computing platform and solution stack to develop, test, deploy, host and maintain
applications; and standardized software applications, are all delivered cheaply and efficiently
over the Internet. All of this is available instantly on demand and is billed according to usage
or subscription, just like for any other utility.It offers enterprises looking to reduce costs the
opportunity to consolidate their IT operations and adopt virtualization technologies that lead
to lower capital expenditure, better utilization of resources, instant access to the latest
technology at all times, greater innovation, speedy deployment cycles and lower

• Religare Technova has more scope to broden its market share in more countries
globally
• Apart from providing Solutions in various fields,it should also prove support and
maintenance facilities to their clients.
