We are Learning About…


Reading- We will continue our thinking this week about retelling stories and
practice more. The students have been creating their own fairy tales, mixing
characters, setting, and events from traditional tales.

Writing- This week we will focus on writing down our mixed up fairy tales to share
with others.

Math- We continue our fluency for addition and subtraction, place value, and
problem solving strategies this week. Math Practice Focus:
Year 1/2 Weekly Update

Unit of Inquiry-We will start to consider Images this week. The kids will
engage in provocations to help them start thinking about what images are and
how we use them, and how they are used around us each day. We will begin
thinking about images that show our learner profile characteristics and how
that can help us understand and explain the learner profile qualities.
Transdisciplinary Theme- How We Express Ourselves

An inquiry into the ways in which we discover and express ideas, feelings, nature, culture, beliefs and values; the
