ACCOMODATION:

Boardinghouse per month :

Standard : approx IDR 600,000 / month or 42 USD x 12 months = IDR 7,200,000 Or

500 USD (the price might not include water and electricity)

Elite (with air conditioner) : approx IDR 1,700,000/ month Or 118 USD x 12 months =
IDR 20,400,000 Or 1,415 USD (the price might not include water and electricity)

Living Cost per month :

Standard (meals, grocery, standard leisure) 2,500,000 IDR (approx 174 USD) x 12
months = 30,000,000 IDR or 2080 USD

LIMITED STAY PERMIT:

Limited Stay Permit for 2 years : 3500.000 IDR (approx 260 USD)

Limited Stay Permit for 1 year : 2500.000 IDR (approx 173 USD)

Report Card to the Police (STM): 150.000 IDR (approx 10 USD)

Report Card to the Civil Dept. (Dispenduk): 500.000 IDR (approx 34 USD)

Visa Extension IDR 350.000 (approx. 24 USD) / per time

Health Insurance :

Healthy certificate from doctor (for immigrational purpose) : 50.000 IDR (approx 3
USD)

Transport to immigration office and vice versa : by Grab Taxi approx IDR 60,000 or
4.5 USD per ride

Transportation from Juanda Airport to Campus : by taxi or Car approx IDR 150.000
or 10 USD

Retribution to report to the Head of the Neighbourhood (RT/RW): 50.000 IDR

(approx 3 USD)

DOCUMENTS REQUIREMENTS TO STUDY IN INDONESIA

➢ STUDY PERMIT PROCESS:

Narotama International Office will assist student with the Study Permit process by
completing an online application and uploading student’s files (only complete
documents will be uploaded) at KEMRISTEKDIKTI – Kementrian Riset Teknologi
dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Higher
Education) onlineportal.

1. Scanned Passport (front page only, NO stamped pages needed)

in COLOR (minimum validity of 18 months for 6 or 12 months visa
application; and minimum of 30 months validity for 24 months visa
application)
2. Color Photograph in RED background with size of 3cm x 4cm (1 piece)
3. Copy of latest Official Academic Transcript / Diploma
4. Medical Statement (issued by doctor from hospital/clinic)
5. Statement Letter
6. Financial Statement (NOT required for Scholarship Student, as a
substitute, scholarship recipient student must submit the copy of
Scholarship Contract)
7. Acceptance Letter / Offering Letter from Narotama Admission - only applicable
for new student. (Existing student must submit “Surat Keterangan Mahasiswa
Aktif” issued by Academic Bureau Administration-BAAR at Building B, 1st Floor)
8. Sponsor Letter from Narotama International Relation Office
9. Two stamps (Materai)
10. Generally, the Study Permit application and issuance process takes
approximately 4 (active) weeks. Should there be any long weekends / public
holiday in the month calendar; the process may take longer than 4 weeks.

➢ LIMITED STAY PERMIT:

After the Study Permit is issued, the next process will take place at
the Immigration. The process normally takes approximately 7 working days if there
is no issue occured during the process.

➢ STM (Letter of Police Notification):

1. Color Photograph in RED background with size of 3cm x 4cm or 4cm x 6cm (3
pieces)
 2. Scanned Passport (front page only, NO stamped pages needed) in COLOR
3. Copy of Student Card
4. Sponsor Letter from Narotama International Relation Office
5. Copy of Limited Stay Permit (KITAS)
6. The STM will be issued within a day.

➢ SKTT (Residency Certificate):

Documents Required to obtain SKTT (Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal) –

Residency Certificate are as follows:

• Sponsor Letter from Campus

• Fully filled Application form

• Copy of Passport of applicant

• Copy of Limited Residence Permit (KITAS) of applicant

• Copy of STM – Surat Tanda Melapor (Police Report Certificate) of applicant

• 3 copies of Passport size (3X4cms) photos of applicant in red background

• Letter of Attorney from sponsor in case other agency/person is handling the

application

• The SKTT will be issued within a working day.

NOTICE:

PRIOR TO ENTERING INDONESIA, ALL FOREIGN STUDENTS MUST FIRST

OBTAIN A LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE FROM INDONESIAN HIGHER
EDUCATION INSTITUTION AND A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM THE
MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION OF THEIR RESPECTED COUNTRY. THE
LETTER WILL LATER BE USED TO APPLY FOR A STUDY PERMIT IN
INDONESIA.
