8 WAYS TO EAT HEALTHY

“We are defined by our actions, and our decisions are the pathways to
living a healthier life.”
- reina
1. You are what you eat.
- They say “your words and actions define who you are” so as to our
eating lifestyle. We must always put into mind that our being is carried by
our own good – whatever we do unto it will surely make a change in our
whole body. We are defined by our actions, and our decisions are the
pathways to living a healthier life.

2. Know your limitations.

- We all have our limitations – including food intake. Sometimes it’s very
hard to limit ourselves, most especially when we get close to our
boundaries. Yet, we should practice training ourselves in setting aside our
“binge eating” manner – it makes us happy but feel bad after doing so.

3. Choose natural.
- All things are better when it’s natural. Eating green and colorful foods
are more suitable for our daily body needs. These natural foods include:
whole wheat, vegetables and fruits. We must eat what can be grown and
not processed by the world. Doing so will minimize the risk of various
diseases and illnesses.

4. If you can’t eat it, drink it.

- Each of us has their own weakness when it comes to food – and I think
we could possibly work on that in some ways. Green foods are most denied
when eaten, so why not try to make it a smoothie or a drink? In such a way
that our minds will be tricked and our taste buds will love it too.

5. Cook it yourself.
- We often go outside or fast food chains to eat; well that is a
misconception and a wrong thing. Foods being served at fast foods are
processed and impure. Plus, we are not sure if the food we are about to eat
is clean and what it is made of – instead, having your food made by you or
prepared at home will make it extra healthy for you know how it is made
and what is made of.

6. Don’t count calories.

- One major misconception about being healthy is counting our calorie
intake. We must not count calories, but how much we intake food. Tricky,
right? Calories are just mere numbers while how we take up food into our
body is a different thing. We must take control of what we eat and how
much we intake, not the calories.

7. Feel your food.

- When we eat, we often forget to chew our food properly. We should take
time and chew our food as much as we can; in this way, we will have
ourselves full in no time. Thus, making it easier to balance each meal we
take in a day.

8. Make it a habit.
- Great things come from small beginnings. When we start doing
something, we must observe consistency and dedication. Being healthy
doesn’t mean being healthy for a day or a week – it is something that one
will carry along as his lifestyle. A lifestyle is a process, and a process is
taken step-by-step.
